I’m not against changes but you guys are way more unrealistic… I mean, optimistic than me
I really doubt they will push this any closer than it already is to D4, which I know is a ways off, but still, a 2022 release of this remaster? I’d be shocked.
I believe they want to keep it fairly simple and straightforward, at least in the beginning. Quoting Blizzard saying things like “who knows what might happen in the future” doesn’t mean a lot to me. People always want to appear open to possibilities, without really answering. Very typical in interviews. Expected, even. Because really, who knows? A .01% chance isn’t no chance. It’s a safe answer without the possibility of blowback from shutting down the idea.
And this talk of “options” and multiple realms always amuses me. “options” are exactly what they are, because options aren’t always really options to many people, especially if they affect balance. It’s the illusion of choice, as it’s been said. How can a charm inventory be an option? Optional cheats to make the game easier for people? People want to play the game on a level playing field.
Maybe I’m wrong. I hope Blizzard does make changes. I actually hope they release a mostly faithful remaster and then add to the game down the road. I just think peoples’ ideas of how changes should be implemented aren’t … ideal.
