Settling the Private Loot Debate

Considering how Activision is, it’s possible DII R will have something along those lines.

Can you think of a better expression to summarize in one word all those people who are mostly young children who are used to easy games who strive to achieve useless achievements that look like bots without souls?

eh ? what ?

this have nothing to do with personal loot my dood xD
personal loot is only loot allocation , it doesn’t increase the number of TOTAL loot the monsters/boss would drop.
if a boss drop 5 items in FFA , it’ll drop 5 items total in instanced loot as well (1 items each for 5 players and 0 for the remaining 3 players)

stating that it would give 8 x the numbers of loot is proof of being misinformed.
personal loot is merely loot allocation it doesn’t change the total drop rate.

ever played wow or POE or any game with instanced loot options ? (pretty much any mmorpg) None gives more loot than others options, that would be dumb indeed.

There are many better expressions when talking about people than calling them “rats”. Even if your assumptions would be correct, it would still be wrong, disrespectful and uncalled for.
Stick to the point.

Will you give me an answer?

How does it affect you?

Precisely. I don’t get why people care about other people having the option to play this way. They don’t have to join personal loot games or make them.

as long as it doesn’t change the total amount of drop as instanced loot usually is only a drop allocation, indeed , it doesn’t affect anything or the market.
it’s just a check box option at game creation that people can join or not join.
people who likes it can join , people who don’t simply can decide not to.

but eitherway it doesn’t change any kind of drop rates or maket value considering there is not more or less total amount of drop than FFA.

Yeah, that’s how it would be implemented ideally.

Hello dear community (and those who pretend to be part of it)

As a preface I would like to say that we (almost) all love Diablo 2 as we know it and make up the majority of the community TODAY and also for the FUTURE.
We are the game and always will be and we would like to love this game as we know it for the next 20 years.

On the subject of the loot system.

Diablo 2 Resurrected is a remaster of Diablo 2 ie. it must not contain any drastic changes that fundamentally change the game, otherwise the word “Diablo 2” is simply wrong.
Another loot system will change the game from the ground up.
restrictions in the trading system
less thrill while playing
automatically less activity because you don’t have to do anything for your loot anyway, you can leech and get everything you need
Hacks are not allowed and are therefore not part of the argument
The entire dynamics of the game decrease automatically, if you don’t want someone to distract you, then play alone
Why should I still play in a group if I cannot make a profit from it? We saw what became of Diablo 3.
leeching will be a major part of Diablo 2 Resurrected when I no longer have to worry about my loot
I could certainly do a lot of other things that were on my mind before but I just couldn’t think of it lelel
Of course we didn’t get any items because someone else looted them away. It’s the same with Diablo 2 and EVERYONE of us has seen it. The world won’t end of that, next time it’s your turn.

You don’t understand why the Diablo 2 community is still huge today - it’s not because Diablo 2 is so extremely good, but because its successor is so bad and we should save ourselves from letting D2 degenerate even remotely.

If I buy Diablo 2 (whether Classic or Remaster) then I also expect Diablo 2 and not Diablo 2.5 or Diablo 3 as it could have been but Diablo 2 in a fresh make-up, but that doesn’t mean that I have to change it until a little bit with it is satisfied and the majority of the community is not.

Be honest, you don’t play it for long anyway … 5 months? 1 year?
Then it’s over for you anyway.

Diablo 2 doesn’t have to change for anyone, it doesn’t have to.
Do you want a other loot system? Then go to the Blizzard shop and buy Casual Diablo 3. Thank you

It does affect the ladder system and character progression significantly.

How so? Please go on…

Let me guess your a northern monkey :speak_no_evil: lol

https ://www .urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Northern%20monkey

how is that an attack I didn’t say " oh you don’t have real life friends"…it’s very clear what i meant man you guys our something-else hell no wonder a lot of you use that term toxic looting … sensitive about everything

how so ?
maybe for slow clickers that play multiplayers only.

but for the ladders it’s mostly solo farming item wise , it’ll always be the best way.

All of your points are opinion. You are welcome to your opinion.

Game on.

Im so lolling that you aren’t willing to even acknowledge paying for a DLC mode as acceptable, let alone willing to pay for a DLC but hope to see a totally stupid doesn’t fit for the game feature detract from actual development of the actual game as it was… a remaster.

#FREEEEEeeeeeee! Gif FREEEEEEeeeee!

  1. There is something I have to communicate, I am Spanish from Spain, here the word rat-> rata is not a serious insult, far from it. I beg your pardon if someone has taken for granted, incidentally I take the opportunity to tell them that you are destroying online games

  2. People who use as their best argument to criticize the way of expressing a message rather than the meaning of the message itself show that they do not have better arguments, it is like the typical guy who is ready to tell you that you have misspelled because he has no other good counter argument

It is not “another loot system” it is distributing the existing loot.

No changes to trading.

Still there. If you like it, play the FFA-loot option.

Maybe i dont want to play alone and want to enjoy a pub without being stressed out. Some people want to do that. Just to get some items. Not to get big solo-mf-mode loot drops.

Why do the people whos loot you are taking play in a group? Because playing in a group is a reward in itself.
The issue is, that it also adds alot of stress and the feeling of not getting anything if you do not sit on the edge of your seat. Some of us would happily trade the chance of 7/8 of the loot for a secured 1/8 of the loot. That is not much, you can easily get more by doing anything else (solo, ffa-loot, etc.). still it might be a good choice for some who dont want to be stressed.

Yes. Because the pLoot system will take care of that.

It already is. You can and people do leech in FFA loot. Same as bots and cheats it is not an argument that applies.
If anything, it is smaller, because in pLoot, they can actually only leech 1/8 not everything.

As if a peripheral addition is the same as changing a game mechanic. smh.

There is significant difference between getting the loot distributed to you over a system and in competing against others for the loot. Regardless if that is a common way in getting loot or not.
By winning an item because you practiced clicking on a label you get the feeling of accomplishment and improvement. By getting an item that is simply given to you is simply rolling a dice or a system is rolling a dice for you.
That feels like a lottery system in a lottery. (EDIT: that may be different for each player)

Implying that other peoples opinion is less valuable because they “might have less friends” is borderline insulting.
Stick to the point.

Last chance before i squelch you: How does pLoot affect you?
Give us a chance to understand that you are not just a envious person who takes comfort in other people feeling just as miserable.
