Permanent Death
You have but one life, eager hero. If you should die, though your deeds will be remembered, you shall not return again.
Customer Service will not revive a fallen Hardcore hero for any reason. All of your hero’s items will be lost forever upon death.
Lag is covered by the “for any reason” section.

Wudijo has some interesting points in his latest follower video. If you use the Scoundrel follower and he has at least 25K dex his cheat death will protect you for 7 seconds and then your own cheat death for some seconds more so that you can survive a disconnect which takes 10 seconds. This has saved his HC hero six times during disconnects this season.

I am not sure if that will work all of the time. I have died without either one protecting me from death.
On other occasions they both seem to activate at the same time. It is hit or miss for me anyway.
except they lied and have publicly restored dead HC characters before.
The warning you agree to when creating a hardcore hero is the rule. What happened to Quin69’s Witch Doctor was an exception to that rule which, to my knowledge, has never been repeated in the five years since it happened and which Nevalistis made clear would not become the norm.

Try the Fmodx64.dll trick.
That works nicely.
Also if you are running on low video settings, then change Texture Quality to ‘High’.
When on low video settings texture quality will cause screen freeze and some video to not load quickly enough.

Expect its also your hardware when the servers have a hiccup. Why are characters not rolled back then?
How exactly is this different than a DDOS attack? I have lost HC characters to DC, one during an attack. I never asked or expected a roll back. Basically what you are saying is if you are a “professional streamer” you are somehow more entitled to have your character restored. I think it is bullstuff. And honestly, he should have manned up and declined and rerolled a new character. Just like every single hardcore player on earth.
