I’m having latency going from 49 to 800+ back and forth.
Only HC and this is driving me crazy!
Did a 115 gr on DH a few hours ago no problem.
All has changed now with bad latency.

Anyone else who experiences the exact same issue as Quinn would get their HC restored too.
You need to be invited to Blizzcon and be playing your character on a computer Blizzard provides as part of a Blizzcon Promotional and Marketing event. Then that computer has to catch on fire. If that happens they will have the Devs find a way to restore your character.
If Blizz does not ask you to fly to the other side of the world to promote their games using their computer that catches on fire then yeah, you won’t get it restored.
BUT if you find yourself in that same position, by all means ask.
EDIT - they also restored some chars that were killed by a major bug in game where the char was suddenly without any gear at all. Insta death. Those were case by case basis via ticket.
General lag, acts of god, your power cutting out, whatever - nope. Especially after people were faking compromises to get chars restored. Now they REALLY won’t restore them for any reason.

Just one thing about lag… Do you actually have proof that it is Blizzard servers causing it and not your own PC, your ISP or one of the many, many points the data has to travel through between your PC and Blizzard servers?
Probably more than 90% of all lag is out of Blizzard’s hands. How could they fix something they have zero control over?

I just did a speed test showing 6 Mbps download - 70 Mbps upload and called the help desk.
[Normal speed test is 70/70.]
Since it’s Christmas I’ll have to wait till Monday at earliest for any help.
There is no way I can get a steady ping to play D3 HC atm.
Since the day of conception of this game, they had zero intention of fixing that problem.
