That’s why most suggested to combine it with the 4th cube slot theme
On the bottom left of the image (the big one, with “Season 31 has begun”) in the blog entry there’s a cropped message saying “Season 30 has ended”. Not that it matters, just an observation.
porcupine, easy. kjh
Hello, Blizzard! Please increase the maximum allowable level of Whisper of Atonement from 125 to 150. It seems to me that this is not difficult for you at all. In advance, I thank you.
Just talk to Urshi. She’s there to help.
So that groups have an additional advantage over solo players?
No thanks.
I meant when we complete the Petrified Scream on a wave higher than 150, not in GR.
Everyone understood what you meant. That’s why you were told to upgrade it further in GRs. Everyone disagrees with you.
Limiting the highest one to be received from ENs to 125 is a deliberate design choice and a good one of that. It is fairly easy to get rank 125 one solo but not so much to get rank 150 one. Groups on the other hand can go 150 and beyond without effort. Solo vs group disparity is still gargantuan in D3, there’s no reason to make it worse.
You want maxed augments? Put in proper effort and run GRs to get them.
The effort you spend in an Echoing Nightmare is not same as Greater Rift. Since monsters in the Echoing Nightmare greatly diminish your options on crowd control or completely immune to them at most cases, their health also scaled down significantly in the Echoing Nightmare for balance reasons. Besides that, the area have a guaranteed Conduit and Damage Pylons to do the heavy lifting for you.
Whenever you see Tier 150 in the Echoing Nightmare, you are actually fighting monsters with GR139 health scale; they have 83% less health pool in comparison to the indicated origin.
Making their health scale with the right ratio or making them not immune, would create imbalance issues else make the whole challenge really redundant as it’d be too similar to Greater Rifts.
In short, I can’t imagine developers to hop through hoops to balance it just to prize you with an easier rank 150 legendary gem. If you are pushing through beyond Tier 125 of the Echoing Nightmare, you still get rewarded by Bandit Shrine and slightly higher experience bonus upon completion.
Thank you all for your answers, I understood everything, and I have to agree with you.
Dear Devs, Diablo 3 still needs a balance patch to buff some weaker gameplay. If there is no new balance patch in the future, it will be too difficult for Diablo 3 players to accept.
absolutely agree! I think it’s not difficult for devs to fix damage numbers and add them to some items that need them.
HotS has been dead for three years, but still sometimes Blizzard play with numbers by releasing patches. I hope that D3 will not be completely ignored either.
Why this is unpinned? And can I complain about some builds being so underwhelming to play? I can’t really tell if me and many different streamers missing some crucial element or was it really intentional that those meant fall flat on comparison. I hope developers are watching their metrics and consider some changes next season. There are still tweaks that I haven’t considered on my Seasonal build yet and they’re taking me a long time to contemplate just to toss at a dead end again.
Late Edit: I thought you managed to balance Roland Shield Bash when you buffed Roland’s Set altogether and since no other changes made, I thought the build was set. I have tried everything, Shield Bash setup is very inconsistent at damage output and any attempt at increasing that will only made the build more fragile.
Late Late Edit: I’m glad I didn’t skip this Season. I have learned a few things about Crusaders and how Roland Shield Bash works properly but I still think it’s underpowered for what it puts the player through. It took me a really long time to enjoy this build fully and even then it was satisfying it was also kind of underwhelming to play.
It lacks range thus can not sustain the Roland’s defensive buffs that sent me finding ways for including more vitality by mitigating some affixes. It felt like I had so much excess Wrath replenish by Shield Glare but can not deal damage, so I had to balance this on my own as well. I’m looking forward to play this again at next Season after the oncoming S32.
Those balance changes aren’t made by Bliz. They’re made by the community (a group of pro players) using the game editor. The bug fixes made to Coop were also made by the community using the editor.
Since retirement, the only Bliz made changes have been patches for serious, game breaking bugs.
Edit: Nevermind, I read “Hots” and “three years” as referencing SC2.
No. You ought to know better (since you have better knowledge about the game and Blizzard than I).
Of course you can complain as much as you like. But you know that the game is in maintenance mode. Next season will be better for you I’m sure.
As much as I’d like to take that as a compliment, I can’t take this at face value. I have zero knowledge about Blizzard’s inside, or what’s going on in developers’ head but since I follow some industry names with expertise on media, I’m able to recognize some patterns or read between lines.
I hope so? They supposed to balance and tweak every possible variable at this point so far but I am having somewhat hard time to decipher what they put infront of us as puzzles. If they didn’t move an inch to tweak something next Season then either I was missing something in the build for highest capacity or it wasn’t meant to be buffed due different issues and I haven’t foresee it.
This season is a “Necro” season like was the s20 due to the theme…
The other themes are more balanced, even if some classes get more than other.
For the moment I’m having fun with the necro, then I’ll return to reality with my WD
We are talking about Heroes of the Storm, right? I mean, I do read that HoTS got some patch updates from nowhere, and you said it was a community effort, and all Blizzard did was implement it into their game?
Oops. Yeah, when I saw “Hots” and “three years” and I read it as Heart of the Swarm, so then I thought that was referencing SC2.
