What’s going to be the best 2 soul shards? Does it depend on the build? I missed out on S25 when they were introduced.
It really depends on the build. For weapon shard most builds use Essence of Anguish, however some builds can greatly benefit from Remnant of Pain. Pet builds use Dregs of Lies. For helm shard cooldown dependent builds use Sliver of Terror.
I recommend looking at build guides to see which shards with what bonuses different builds use.
Sliver of Terror is the best helm gem for any cooldown heavy builds. Hatred is mostly useful in density but is very bad on single target encounters. Destruction is mostly situational but generally less effective than the other 2.
Lies is useful for pet builds but very bad otherwise. Sin, like Hatred is more useful in density and not great for single target encounters. Anguish and Pain are both great if you can meet the conditional requirements.
Of course all of them are bound by layers of RNG as each rank up can roll a variety of ranges and effects.
Mr. dmkt, how do you evaluate the strength of Permafrost Might of The Earth? Is it weak in all classes? I think it is weaker than the earthquake of MoTH and needs to be buffed.
I’m very confused about DMO. Your chart suggest it is one of if not the strongest Wizard build but Maxroll doesn’t have it as S Tier. DMO frozen orb was very strong before and it should be even stronger now , I tend to agree with you more.
