S29 (T16) Crusader one shots everything with one skill

I’ll probably make a crusader in s29, seems more chill than the good old GoD DH. Well, the first couple of days, then the season is over.

yes and it’s amazing, a lot of us have been asking for its comeback since S27 ended when they first introduced it. It won’t be the best crusader build just really efficient for farming

I was not even thinking about the sader with the season theme. Totally enjoyed farming with it. Deff have to give it a run.

I cannot undestand this. They remove DH sentry auto attack because player actions should matter and now they give Crusaders an auto attack build.

I was hoping they would reinstate some version of AutoFist Pony since S27.
I haven’t tested it yet.

Yes! Bring more fast 1 button builds please!

Buff WD loctus swarm!

I think this has to with the build’s power. If you want clearing high content (ie. GR130 and above) , the developers won’t allow you to do that with monotonous single button clicks but if you only try to do speedfarm T16 they don’t mind as much. Any build that has high potential such as M6 DH, would require more inputs to justify their power, but if a weak build needs to clear low content fast, in this example Crusader FoH; they can bend rules to make that build compete with other T16 speed builds.
There is a reason why you can not flat out decimate GR150 by cobbling together a pure damage aura build without any input required; design pillar of effort to stakes ratio. Failing to follow this guideline results with build diversity narrowed down and that obviously not favored by developers.

It will be good for speed 90s, no doubt. But for pushing? I am skeptical.

Considering tempest rush and strafe DH exist?

It’s the third best push build in the season.

  1. LoD Bomb
  2. A6 Phalcon
  3. AoV FotH

Wasn’t Fists of Heaven already 3rd best though? Did the new belt improve it?

Yes the new belt comes with another damage buff scaling with your Movements speed.
Which means it also buffed the pushing Variants a little.

Still far behind LoD Bombardment and Akkhan Phalanx.

Thanks to Raxx for getting another build nerfed.

You know Blizz will nerf this into unfun mode for s29 start.

Raxx showed us a dungeon in D4 that would get you to lvl 60 in under an hour.

Guess what? That got nerfed.

Raxx leave it alone.

This is only a T16 build and low GR. It won’t get nerfed.

how high you will consider a high GR and how low you deem is a low GR?

I’d consider 135-145 to be average push range and 100-120 to be low range for speed GRs. If the FotH performance caps somewhere between those ranges, there’s no reason for any nerf.

One button lazy builds should not be able to reach the same level of performance as more active playstyle push builds. Their performance however should be reasonable enough to be able to do low range speeds.

You don’t need to worry or wear your thoughts about which tier is a high or low Greater Rift, as it is decided by developers themselves. We, as players can give it a guess but never can tell. You never need to worry, as they won’t back down from nerfing something if other changes not directly aimed at a certain build end up getting it stronger than intended. As it stands they don’t mind Crusader having a proper speed farming build to compete with other speed builds without having to give away too many damage power slots or dedicate two different mobility skills at the same time.

All the game developers or studios you can count at the top of your head, usually bend rules or design pillars at their will for exceptions, in case they deem it worthy and we just see an example of it. To them, that speedfarm build currently looks fine because sole damage does not mean power alone; damage output grants control over power when it is supported by different aspects. There’s a reason why your push build is not mobile or flexible as your speed build because pushing require other priorities and those usually are demanding complex inputs.

It’s T16 guys, which isn’t much of a “powerful” metric to use for a build, even at paragon 800. The end result is still weaker here than the S27 sanctified FOH power, in which that was a weapon enchantment (not an important belt slot because crusaders need crimson set) and the season had no paragon cap.

I would say this FOH power is a bigger deal for EN augment farming, in which you really don’t want to stand still (the crusader valor set is a wet napkin) with all the fast dangerous monsters around and millions of meteors.

With full augs and paragon over 1k, it could be a high performer.

Raxx has been trying to get you and everyone else to follow him lately and I don’t like streamers much.
