S28 Start Date Predictions

S27 is wrapping up shortly but does anyone have an educated guess as to when we can expect season 28 to start?

It really depends on when the S27 ends and that’s not yet even announced. It’s usually announced about 2 weeks in advance and unless it’s done today, the end won’t come until 26th day which would mean S28 starts March 3rd at earliest.

If there won’t be extending of the PTR I think that season will start in March 3.

Since “Season 27 Ending Soon” banner is up, My guess for start of season 28 is February 24th

Technically, it is NOT up. It is only showing on the Launcher. But, if you click on it, the Season 27 Preview pops up and it doesn’t say anything about the Season ending soon…   yet.

My prediction for Season 28 start: 2023-02-25T01:00:00Z


Note: The time I listed is for Eastern Time Zone. (It would be 5:00 PM PST).

Indeed with the information that we currently have, the most likely starting date for season 28 is Friday 24 February. This is assuming season 27 ends on Sunday 19 February (following the ‘‘season ending soon’’ notice we just got). Otherwise Friday 3 March remains a possible option, of course.

I am guessing March since there are some huge bugs they need to address from the PTR.

It is and it is my prediction too.

When I posted that I think my poor old eyes saw “Season 28” and mistook that as “February 28”. Sorry.

So it seems like the Feb 24 more realistic now. Season end announce is slightly sudden.
