I would love to play the upcoming Diablo 4, but after watching some gameplay footage of the rogue class, I am afraid I have to pass. See I have arachnophobia, and as games get more and more realistic, the spiders become more panic inducing. For example, in WoW old Maexxna was somewhat cartoony and okay for me to encounter as my brain registered it as a nonthreat cartoon, but new Maexxna looks like a real spider. Is there any way you can remove spiders from the game or allow for a modification that turns them into butterflies? I know the game is meant to have a certain aesthetic, but this is the same reason I will not be playing Diablo Immortal.

Sorry to hear that OP. Unfortunately I think there’s little chance of Blizzzard removing the spiders, giving an option of turning them into something else, and/or making them more cartoony since Blizzard said that they intend for Diablo 4 to be a more dark, low-fantasy gothic horror game.
What about Spider-Man? Is it so bad that he triggers you as well? Or just the 8 legged creatures? I find phobias fascinating, not trying to trivialize your trauma.
Other than the obvious large amounts of coding/programming to add an “Arachnophobia mode” I don’t see why not. That mode wouldn’t effect anyone else but you and could potentially provide them with a larger player base.

Imagine wanting to play a horror or dark fantasy game, but you’re affraid of spiders. Spiders are nightmare fuel, they will not go with out them. Arachnid and insectoid creatures will always de a part of these games. I am sorry for you. I’m affraid of going under in large bodies of water, and i don’t complain about Subnautica, playing underwater. I just avoid it, and deal with the fact, that it’s not a game for me. Hell any under water level creeps me out in games. 
I have an issue with demons can they remove them from a game called Diablo?

Then what’s next, an agoraphobia mode so everything looks enclosed. What about claustrophobia mode to make everything look wide open? Let’s go with an aquaphobia mode to remove all water.
