Ranged attack vs Dune Dervish = Instant death? Solution?

If one season I want to play both HC and soft, I always start with HC because the transition is sweeter than the other way around ^^

it should be out in 5 to 10 years. no worries.

So, after eight and a half years of Diablo III managing just fine with hardcore and softcore, what makes you think that’s going to change all of a sudden?

I have never found it to be a problem until I started to use Frenzy Barb recently. The throwing axe would killed me instantly due to the projectile reflection.

This issue is basically a result of Blizzard poor gaming design when they could only keep on adding new rift levels (basically just increasing the monsters levels) in order to keep people playing.

The reason I say this is because this whole damage reflect problem is caused by the players pushing their DPS to do higher GRifts. It doesn’t matter how much armor or damage reduction you have. When you’re dealing a couple hundred or thousands billions of damage, there is no way your character can take that damage reflection. It is simply a broken design of the game.

Some people may say it makes the game more challenging. I totally disagree with that. It is hardly consider a challenge when your character could just die for no reason. My frenzy barb could be hitting a different mob and the throwing axe just hits a Dervish, reflects the damage and kills me instantly. You may say that I could use a different build, but then it defeated the purpose of playing your character in different style.

They should just change how the projectile reflect damage is calculated and make it as a certain fixed damage based on the monster level.

The player should not be killing a rift guardian easily but have to run away from a stupid Dervish.

Welcome to the forums, Juggernut.

I think having a way to instantly die is a good thing for this game, as it has become very easy to play over the past several years. It brings a sense of surprise to the game. There are cheat death passives as well as items and skills that allow you to cheat death. Besides, once you know what monsters to avoid shooting at, they are easy to just ignore and skip.

Just to let you know, necroing threads that have been inactive for a long period of time is generally frowned on by the community.

Yeap, but not all ranged attacks only those that have a projectile. You can change the position after attack or wait until it stops spining.
