QoL Suggestions

Qol improvements isn’t making the game easier to bot.

Kras is a troll, just block him, thats what everyone else does.

How am i a troll pointing out exactly what made the game really bad in the first place. When i play the game i’m not rushing to the end. I am constantly improving my character when i stop.

Making false claims like I allegedly wanting to bot makes you a troll. Hence the flag.

I didn’t say that at all. I said you basically want to bot because thats what bots do.

Such a snowflake.

Ahem…

Really?

Yea that’s not what i said at all. You need to stop being so sour.

And you need to stop making false claims about other people.

People want QoL improvements which make the gameplay overall better. Things like manually picking up mats interrupts the actual gameplay which is killing monsters. Making them autopickup improves everyone’s efficiency. And that’s a big deal, especially in public games efficiency is everything.

When playing solo or with friends you can play how you want but if you’re a burden in public, you get booted. Wasting time on frivolous things, trying “to help in boss fights”, etc. violate public game etiquette.

Making mats autopickup also does basically nothing to help botters. They don’t bot for mats dropped by monsters, they bot for XP, bounties, keys, etc, actually meaningful things.

Which is exactly why i don’t want to play D3 anymore, because of how rushed it’s becoming. There’s no joy in finding anything, completing anything or grouping. Thanks for assisting in making botting easy, good day.

Hmm yes.

That’s what happens when things pick up automatically. It means all enemies die on their own and my character moves itself through the levels!

You literally haven’t said a single thing about what made the game “Really bad” in the first place.

Which has literally nothing to do with picking up loot at all. The devolution of the game came from powercreep that devalued 99.99% of all loot and the increased lucrativity of the additional difficulties created to have the new powercreeped stats have something to do.

This happened while looting was still horrendously tedious.

Good for you. However, you’re not the entirety of the playerbase.

Many people play differently to you.

For many people, the fun is in the rushing to the end (I.e. Leaderboards and PB times)

Many people want to be efficient (Such as when doing tedious things like farming bounties… Which people do so efficiently that parties will have 1 person go do an entire act’s bounties alone so that each act gets done at the same time)

“Becoming”

Bruh you’re like 10 years too late on that statement…

If you can’t see what i’m talking about it isn’t a me issue, it’s a you issue. I now have D4 and i will not play it if it becomes a rush game like D3 has become. I miss when i first played D3. End of.

I can see exactly what you’re talking about. Just, what you’re talking about is irrelevant to the suggested QoL suggestions.

That’s nice dear.

Rallying against QoL suggestions won’t bring back the D3 from when you first played.

Also… If you’re so vehemently against D3, why do you even care about what QoL things are implemented?

Not having QoL changes won’t suddenly undo 10 years of powercreep. Even the post-S29 reusing of old season themes won’t revert powercreep.

Maybe, and that’s a big maybe, D3R might go back to an earlier state of D3 before powercreep got out of hand. But that is completely independent of QoL changes to D3.

D3R… lol. I’ll play D4 until D5 thanks. And i hope they make D5 a offline solo experience away from people who want to make games easier for botting or say that running around at 100mph non stop or not being able to lunge and strike where and whenever i want is fun. New sorc and necro is where it’s at. Except skele’s look really bad.

If killing monsters is the only, really meaningful stuff then there is no need to pick up stuff. Just leave it and move on like the “speed rifters” do (I suppose).

I only pick up the stuff dropped by the RG on normal rifts. would still like a feature that picks up stuff for me. those two things aren’t mutually exclusive

It’s not that i wouldn’t mind if more stuff was on auto pick up. I just think that it’s intentional that the game designers want us to choose between full speed and less loot or less speed and more loot in the activities that are not GRs.

Technically it is. Or at least was.

The systems of how looting works, combined with the abysmal inventory size works to improve a game’s economy. By making it harder for people to amass items it creates artificial scarcity without needing to adjust drop rates as it takes more time to loot stuff and many people simply won’t bother picking up many things.

Of course, they eventually removed the RMAH and thus a majority of the trading in D3. However, they never bothered improving loot systems/inventory despite the lack of need to have them so limited (At least, until the current season with pet auto-salvage and pet picking up DB’s)

something else worth mentioning, is that speedfarm builds now move at ~200%-400% movespeed, so stopping to pick up items incurs a much more noticeable slowdown than when the game came out and everything was much slower (which was also when all these other mechanics were put in place).

you can see the effect this has with a farming toon that has 0 pickup radius when you try to zoom by an elite and pick up the orbs. I guarrantee, if you have more than 200% movespeed, you can’t pick them all up without backtracking or stopping and walking up to the orbs. this wasn’t a problem when farming was at 100% movespeed (or slower), and they sorta-kinda fixed it by adding 5 pickup radius to our paragon, but it is a very easy way of proving the effect movespeed has on stuff that should be picked up automatically.

if that stuff is hard to pick up, the stuff you have to click on becomes next to impossible at those speeds.

Doesn’t the Altar give you an automatic orb pick up within 50 or 60 yards?

This would be very nice. Quick scan with your mouse to items and then mass salvage.
