PTR Seasons 31?

Hi everyone. Do you know if there will be a PTR for season 31? We can’t find the information.

There will be no PTR, nothing new to test :slightly_smiling_face:

Given the start date for S31 is Apr 12th I doubt we’re going to see one. Technically there’s a little bit of testing you could imagine since the combination of all the new sets, etc. that have been added since S20 was released but what time is there for it now? Assuming only a week for PTR that would mean it’d have to drop before the 5th this Friday… so consider this a PTR free season.

No Patch Notes for 2.7.8, just a new Season with an old Theme.

I suspect they cannibalise the D3 test servers for D4 PTR. The first time D4 has PTR, the first time D3 has no PTR. Too much of a coincidence.

Don’t see the need for PTR, everything s31 brings has already been tested.

Had there been any balance changes, a PTR test would’ve been warranted. But since there aren’t any, no PTR is needed.

Since the recycled seasonal theme never existed in tbe context of the altar, I hope that there is no weird interaction that would have been identified with a PTR.

There have been weird interactions that were reported in past PTRs and not addressed. :thinking:
DH clones that were reflected by Pylon Elites and killed you come to mind.

Unless there’s a major security flaw or a game play flaw (such as a player figuring out how to do a GR150 in 1 minute with 0 paragon), what you see is what you’re going to get from here on out.

So happy that I didn’t have to farm nonseason bounties again to roll primal gear just because Blizzard changes stuff.

Still hoping blizzard will reverse some of the nerfs for S30 such as that for spider witch doctor, lod monk, bone spear wizard with patch 2.7.8. But that hope looks very distant now. Its friday, no patch notes, probably none will come. But still hoping for a pleasant surprise before S31 starts.

Everything in D3 is basically set in stone unless there are bug fixes and whatnot.
