Would they just simply be called Askari? Or Nomads, since they are nomadic people?
I think those could work. Personally, I would go with Oracle, especially if they make use of their mystical clairvoyant abilities.
But the Oracle is the name of their spiritual leader. A rank, not any of them can hold. TBF Nomad doesnât feels right either. They canât be the only nomadic people in Santuary. IDK what would fit them.
Didnât we already have some sort of origin story on why the Rogues broke with the Sisters of the Sightless Eye?
So in game there may already be Amazons as Rogues?
Yupp. Rogues are originated from the Amazons. Thatâs true.
Actually, thereâs multiple oracles, the askari caste system is divided between the oracle caste and the amazon caste. Now while there is a leader (queen) who leads each caste, and thus a Oracle leader, they arenât the only oracle.
Aaaaaahhh⌠I see. But still if I say it, it feels more like a full on caster class.
A bit of why I said that they would make use of their mystical abilities. That said, while their attacks may be mystical and/or magical, theyâd still utilized weapons like spear. Perhaps even conjure spears for certain attacks. Anyway, itâs simply an example.
Donât get me wrong i could live with it. Just sounds a bit off. No matter, first weâll have to see, if there is realy going to be a 6th class introduction before launch. That would be something out of the ordenary.
I agree. Having a 6th class revealed would be rather surprising imo, even more so if the class would be available at launch and/or a little time after the gameâs initial launch.
But for the sake of keeping my expecations grounded, Iâll probably chalk it up as an npc that we may or maynât meet in the game.
Perhaps the character in the specific art, is a Paladin or some kind of a Holy Knight Class and the angelic winds we are seeing is a visual effect of a specific skill that might this class has.
Letâs say âHeavens Lightingâ or something like that and when he/she casting that skill, angelic wings grows from his/her back.
I mean, she has the spear up and seems like she is looking up to heaven, like to be ready to call something from heaven.
That was one of my earlier guesses.
Sorry. I missed the post.
Lore/frictional universe/characters have value only when there are consistency. Thats why gatekeeping existed to preserve lore like in Star wars & LOTR.
If someone changed Lara Croft to a 40 years old bald Indian man with bell tummy, then proclaim lara croft is not define by her gender, ethnicity, nationality or good look, & Lara craoft can be anyone you imagine, then Lara Croft is meaningless, no value and not attachment.
If Dark vader suddenly like to wear pink & play with dolls, you are literally assasinate the character.
Not really, revolutions and drastic changes brings lots of value to a story. As long as it respects that it is a drastic change, and not just something that is waved away as something that always was (like âmen were always part of the Amazon armyâ, despite previous lore stating otherwise)
If anything, a static character, lore etc. is a dead character/lore. As well as a boring one.
Sadly a big risk in large IPs with bad storytellers. And yeah, often because fans demand that everything should be static. We also see it with people crying about Cain dying. Because they apparently want him to be immortal, so nothing will ever change.
If they did it without explaining how such a change could happen (which it could not, so it would be hard to explain), sure, but that would precisely also forgetting the previous lore.
If they made a story were Lara Croft is 80 years old, and someone else has taken her tomb raiding role, while Lara plays a different role (mentor, villain, whatever) that would still be her. Just in different circumstances.
Not if they respect the change. Like, how exactly does his henchmen reach to the change, do they revolt, etc. That can be a story to tell. But if they make the change without it having any reactions from other moving parts of the story, then something is off.
