Pls disable visions in multiplayer bounties

Every single multiplayer bounties group i join without fail there’s 1-2 people farming visions while the rest of us are working hard to do bounties. To me it’s the same thing as being AFK. If people want to farm visions then let them do it solo or find a group for it but to me like I said it’s the same thing as being AFK and not helping the group at all.

  • Open a vision on a map where there is no bounty
  • Open your game to the public

=> Problem solved :slightly_smiling_face:

More radical solution:

  • Play in SSF mode :stuck_out_tongue:

Exactly what I do. Usually underground where it’s not visible on the zone map.

I don’t like to admit it because after enough people figure it out, it won’t work very well anymore. I play dumb, like “bad luck I guess”, or I don’t respond about it all all.

  1. Teleport to a very small hub area with lots of side dungeons (Act 2 is good; Waterway and Terminus) and no bounty related in a specific act. Try to avoid killing anything until you entered a dungeon and to be frank, a real hub area doesn’t have any monsters to begin with. Now head to one of the random dungeons nearby to clear it and keep killing monsters until a Vision emerges there. Teleport back to the town by map and open game to public. From there on, proceed as usual and it doesn’t matter if you want to clear the same act with the Vision active or not. Nobody really bothers to check.

  2. If you are mobile enough, teleport to a bounty quest area with lots of side dungeons (Act 5; Westmarch Commons, Act 2; Desolate Sands). Don’t clear the area for monsters and swiftly head to the nearest dungeon to make a Vision emerge. When you succeed, go back to waypoint on foot by backtracking and teleport to another town. Open game to public and just teleport back to where have you came from to finish the quest.

  3. In case you are too slow, go to a place with a waypoint in front of a nearby gate (Act 3; Eternal Woods, Act 1; Leoric’s Manor, Act 4; Silver Spire) to a non-quest related wilderness area. This is for making it easy to access as you backtrack. Enter the previous area and clear it for making a Vision emerge. So that way nobody suspects anything when they teleport around to check. Open game to public access and proceed as usual.

I hope these methods help to conceal the active Vision you caused to emerge.

I was in a game last night. Somebody said that there was no Vision. The guy that open bounty he did that. But he did something cool. He went in the back door of the map. If ported to that map you couldn’t see it.

If you do this put it on map that has a second level. So even if somebody goes looking for one they will not find it. One other thing you can do is if you are in a game, You open a vision port out at that point and start another map in your area.

I know this game is done on fixing things. But what they could do is when you open something like a Vision, Vault, Cow, Whimsydale & even a Goblin Shrine. It should ask the other people to join if you want too.

What is the actual benefit of bounties over visions?

Apart from awkward stages of difficulty, they yield a lot of bounty mats and else. The biggest complaint would be that it rewards way too many legendary items, which is a funny complaint (albeit somewhat valid, lots of teleport downtime).

I would teleport to player, clear together, then continue.

In split bounties I would forgo much of the loot, I suppose.
Maybe the bounty chests rewarding their unique items… but I’d just farm them myself.

… Even if the average duration of a bounty game is 5 minutes.

Ring of Royal Grandeur is one reason, unfortunately

Bounties are useful at the beginning, for certain items that can only be found in caches. And of course the different recipes (Blacksmith or Jeweler).

Afterwards, I don’t really see the point, except for optimization of the companion or if the build requires an optimized Royal Grandeur.

Afterwards, maybe some players like to play multiplayer and just chill, I don’t know.

(Sorry for the multiple “afterwards” :stuck_out_tongue: )

…“best” in a dungeon, e.g. the waterways (ofc. one that is NOT a bounty… ), then there wont be any hint…

Plague Tunnels Level 2 if it is not a bounty is a perfect spot. No one in their right mind would run that distance just to see if there was a Vision spawned there.

I typically ignore the visions, and get the bounties done and let the party go ahead on the visions if they want to. I only need to do bounties once anyway. (Edit: For the Season Journey at the very least).

If I need more mats, I can do 1 bounty run solo, and maybe get a dozen or more portals before even finishing a full round of bounties. I think last Season 1 run of full bounties I got 350 mats by doing the portals whilst doing so.

Early on, I farm gloves of worship, avarice band and three RoRGs. Plus the recipies for various sets I and my follower will be using.

After that, I don’t need bounties anymore.

Do the bounties solo until vsion will open. Do this bounty leave the location and make the game public. But I Have a question: whats a point to do the bountys?

But you can just farm act 1. No need to do other 4’s

I was wondering the same thing. I didn’t think anyone did group bounties anymore with how many mats you get with visions.

Act 1 and Act IV caches can contain the Ring of Royal Grandeur, which is used in some hero builds, but also lets’s followers wear two crafted sets for extra DBs and GR keys.
