After I get multiple RROG, Gloves of Worship and Avarice bands (in case I die in HC), I tend to do mix in bounties in early game until I get a few rainbow goblins. I need the gems from Whimsydale (follower wears a broken crown). I never have enough in early game for gear or rerolls.
Ofc but act 1 completed solo in a few minutes no need to go to public game just for 1 act

Assuming all four players are roughly the same speed / power…
- 1 player does 5 bounties in Act I
- 4 players do 6/7 bounties each
If you did 6 solo Act I runs, totalling 30 bounties you did, you’d get 6 Act I caches. If you did 5 4-man full bounties, totalling 30 bounties you did, you’d get 5 Act I and 5 Act IV caches. For the same time / effort, the 4-man way gets you 10 chances of the RoRG, the solo way gets you 6 chances of the RoRG.

Nice math, but if I remember correctly, Act IV cache has much smaller drop rate for RoRG compared to Act I. Theoretic farming speed might still be a bit higher than solo, but it seems super rare to get balanced team.
I personally would recommend public bounties only if wanting to get more balanced amounts of crafting materials, not for RoRG.

But even here visions is better. Simply don’t pick up materials that you don’tneed. Pick only those you have shortage.
Also you can a spend additional materials to craft something else. But there is a high chance that you get a trash primals. This season I’ve make a useless legs to balance act materials and get 2 primals at once. It was very frustrating.

The problem is, the a4 bounty cache can be legendaries from the other 4 acts. The RoRG chance is diluted by 4x for the A4 cache, so the drop rate is significantly lower. It would be more like 6 chances for solo and 5 + 5 x .25 = 6.25 chance for the group runs. Still better odds for group doing full bounties, but not much better than solo doing just A1.

With normal party, but if other party goes to visions or doing something else…
By the way to the moment you need first RoRG (for altar) you have a double caches. And gap between A1 and A4 is more significal
