Please, nerf the XP gain from echoing nightmares. It’s not fun if the XP meta is a gamemode as repetitive and boring as echoing nightmares. Blizzard said they got lots of positive feedback but literally everyone I’ve played the game with agrees with me that they get extremely repetitive and boring after a few hours, let alone having to farm them for weeks for paragon.
They have to do something to this, otherwise it’s going to be a very big negative blow to the game and I would expect a lot more people will stop playing the seasons after a week or two.
What do you think? Please share your thoughts on this.
Personally I think ENs are great. I mean you dont get much variety, because they are all small boxes with the same pylons. And you don’t need any thought or skill because condi kills everything for you. But aside from that I mean they are great. Maybe you just need to play more of them.
Maybe just maybe make them solo player only? I know it goes against everything D3 stands for in eyes of devs, but this is only a problem if go in with a 4 man team feeding off eachothers keys. It also gets a bit less easy when you solo them, besides less runs and way less XP cause the multiplier is missing.
Best of both worlds, no nerf needed could even boost it some as XP is way lower anyway and maybe even droprate of keys could be improved slightly as solo player and it gets more interesting to play them since you will feel effect of the different maps.
I agree. Reduce the exp making it less exp/h than GR. But add bounty mats. That way it be a decent alternative to farming bounties especially for those who refuse to play public bounties.
Atleast you have different maps, mob types, random pylon order, an actual boss at the end of the run and most importantly you can run usually 2-3 different setups for XP runs (rats, monk speeds, god speeds as an example) and they all feel a lot different. So if you get used bored of monk speeds you can switch to rats and continue to have fun while farming xp.
Now because the xp gain from echoing nightmares is so high we are forced to do them and it doesn’t even matter what setup you run, all the setups feel similar and extremely boring.
Aaaarrgghhh whoever gave positive feedback about this gamemode must be insane. I’m switching over to Lost Ark for now and I’ll give next season a try if they do something about echoing nightmares being the xp meta.
Yeah, likely best to change that into all 4 needing to apply a key or make them only playable solo. Both would stop them being the meta pretty fast without needing to nerf them for the rest of the players. You might even boost them some then in drops and XP.
I don’t know but I feel like something needs to be done. I miss the days when you had 2-3 options to choose to farm xp with in GRs. Echoing Nightmare XP has to be nerfed and it has to be below the actual XP speed meta xp/h. Otherwise rip diablo 3.
Does not matter at all for XP-Runs as you only run rifts where you basically oneshot everything, as this is the most efficient way to gain XP.
Mobtype, Boss, Pylons do not matter at all for XP-Runs, only the map matters and only in an annoying way when it does not let you blast as fast through the rift as you want.
Nightmares are actually more challenging as they at least get somewhat hard when you get into the 3 digit numbers.
You actually have probably more options to farm EXP in echoing nightmares, as the conduit does all the killing for your and there are more super tanky builds then viable high damage builds.
“Conduit does all the killing for you”. Isn’t this extremely boring XP meta for the game?
Much rather have 2-3 different setups that give the highest xp/h in the game via greater rifts. Also people said that the playstyle is similar in gr speeds? If you compare double wiz speeds and rats, I can tell you the playstyle is a lot different.
ENs the strategy is similar afk’ish no matter what kind of group comp you run with. They have to nerf ENs xp/h! 4player GR speeds need to be the highest xp possible.
The average drop rate for the “keys” to enter ENs is roughly 5%. So…
Solo Player
Does 20 GRs.
Gets one EN “key”.
Does 1 EN.
Total = 20 GRs + 1 EN
4-Man Group
Does 20 GRs quicker than the solo player and/or at a higher GR level.
Gets one EN “key” each.
Does 4 ENs.
Total = 20 GRs + 4 ENs
How did you ever envisage solo players catching up when their GR runs are slower and/or lower level than their group counterparts are running, and they only get to do 25% of the EN runs the group does? It doesn’t matter how much XP the ENs are worth if groups get to do them four times as often as a solo player does. The only way they could address this would be if all group members had to contribute an EN “key” in the same way they have to contribute GR keys.
Its 2022 people are still on going with solo? This is NOT designed with solo in mind. Very much like POE is NOT designed with group play in mind. Just go play POE or something if you want to solo. D3 is a social game, making friends > than solo 10k hrs for achievements.
