It’s not like having the Altar NS would mean people playing that mode forever and ever. It would mainly be a short whiff of fresh content.

Wait why are we not getting the Altars in Non-seasonal. The wording had implied we would ever since the roadmap for past the “last” season was penned?? That’s a huge jebait.
Like can we get a technical reason or something, I feel like not getting it at the last second is huge rob. NS should just be something to enjoy at this point, even for a “new” player that picks up the game today, I feel.
Anyways, I can get behind everyone in here and want to push Blizz to review this decision. Let’s make as much noise as we can.

I support your petition! I believe that Visions of Enmity should go non-seasonal too, as promised in the past, as described in the patch notes, and as displayed on the 2.7.7 live patch banner over the past couple days…before that got mysteriously removed.

Blizz memes aside, all I’m saying is they really should be straight with us and give the technical reason. I’ve seen the Pez tweet and like, that confirms absolutely nothing, just “nah not coming”. I can’t even be angry properly because we don’t even know why they decided that.

That’s because there is no technical reason. Blizzard’s live patch banner actually stated for you to go experience Altar and Visions in NS. Furthermore, on Asia servers the Altar actually went live with 2.7.7, which gives you an insight into the communications mess within Blizzard itself.
But what it really underscores, is that an alternate version of the patch, where the Altar and Visions are implemented, already exists! And that, in turn, points to Blizzard’s conscious disregard for players in the devs’ decision to not implement those features in NS.

With the nerfs, The altar should be open for both seasons and non seasons without question. Really to what’s the point of playing seasons and gaining paragon that means not as much now. To be fully decent you will need 15k + paragon on non season to even compete or more and i might be undercutting it by far ( havent checked the lb since) . That’s crazy when you think about it

I have been playing Diablo franchise since release of Diablo (1997), game that brought nethack style dungeon crawler modern age, bought and owned each and every game in series (xept Immortal, wich is free to play).
D3 have been THE game for years for me, and news about Altars and Visions coming to “permanent” feature, had oldtimer almost heartattack exited.
Really cool(word that we used 90’s) features return to lighten up the game that i have spent so many hours enjoying.
Exitement got bummed when patch day came, and i was searching for altar for some time, even checked that if i was looking from wrong place.
Then hitting to forums to check if there is some sort of bug going on, or some patch issue, only to find that “It was a mistake”.

Yes i understand frustration of player community, shareing some of it my self.
What ever the case may be, it is up to Blizz to decide, if they are going to implement extra features to the game, what we can do is to make a plea like this and hope for the best.
So this is my plea: Make a old gamer happier than having a bo&#r and add thease features available to all players.

Seriously, IDK why this isn’t coming to non-season. Like, I don’t even really care about the boost it will give to GR pushing, I was just so excited to have all those quality-of-life changes become permanently available for my non-seasonal characters.
Look, I know that as somebody with only around 2.5k paragon in non-season, that I am probably on the more casual end of people still playing D3, but I don’t see why the altar should be season-only. The QoL changes it provides are significant enough to deter playing whichever mode you don’t have access to it with, but having to re-unlock the altar every season sounds absolutely miserable for people who are more casual like me.
Seriously, just let the altar be available for non-seasonal. I assure you that this will almost certainly not pull any players away from seasonal and into non-seasonal (trust me, if having to farm bounties at season start can’t turn people away from seasonal, nothing can).

I basically played from release with no breaks… but right now, seeing that both, Altar and Visions, won’t come to non seasonal, I really lost interest and motivation to play for the first time. Unless they enable it for NS as well, I will just not play and wait until I know what happens for S31.
