in speed builds. Putting CoE in your speed build is like putting stoplights on a racetrack. Stop it. It’s counterintuitive to wait to line up cycles with Elites and getting lucky is just RNG. Choose a solid consistent ring for the slot or trade defense elsewhere for dps and pick a defensive ring.
CoE makes ZERO sense in a speed build.

The COE just stays equipped and you ignore the cycle it’s on. Who needs extra defences when you’re speed-running T16 rifts / bounties, or low level GRs?
SoJ is far better in every T-16 situation if you are looking for damage on a ring. There are so many better options. CoE is for pushing only.
Really? I imagine it’s more like having dash zones scattered around the track. You drive on a dash zone and you drive much faster as a result (same as CoE cycling onto your main element and you’ll deal more damage as a result), but if you’re off a dash zone you don’t get the boost (same as being off your main elemental cycle with CoE, you don’t get a damage boost) …Sorry, I played a bit of F-Zero.
Yes that is a good analogy, but then you have to take into effect that your car is Green Amazone with boosts while it could be a Fire Stingray without boosts.

Even IF one day , far far away, one of “your” builds gets a standard for…lets say speedrunning. The only thing you affect is HOW people waste their time infront of an old computergame.
