The face of the necro seems different than what was originally shown… the amazon and the assassin remain lame…
So all the criticism towards the appearances went though one of the devs’ ears and out the other…

" The Diablo II: Resurrected multiplayer open beta will kick-off in August and will feature five of the final game’s seven highly customizable character classes for players to choose from—the Amazon, Barbarian, Paladin, and Sorceress from the core game, as well as the Druid from the included Lord of Destruction expansion. The Necromancer and Assassin will be available when the game officially launches on September 23."
Do they mean character customization?
I think they just mean customizable in stats/skills and difference between the classes

Kind of surprised they’re going to have a long beta. I guess limiting the classes is part of trying not to have people burn out on it before release. I wonder if there will be a limit on level and act access as well.
Finally, a reason for the Pre-order besides forum access. LOL
Where does it say August? I dont see that date in the tweet.

Nice… Guaranteed beta access with pre-order. The street date trailer also shows a couple of sneak peeks into what the cinematics are going to look like as well.
Just a bit over 3 months to go for the full release. Makes me feel like a kid again. Geek mode on.

I watched the trailer and about the 8 player coop I’ve seen all the platforms but Nintendo Switch. What’s the meaning of that? No full internet multiplayer experience on Switch?
I was wondering that too… Tbh I don’t know if the Switch can pull it off with the new gfx and that much going on with 8 people though. I hope they clarify about Switch soon.
I really need to know that since I was about to preorder on Switch for the cross-progression… and it was mainly for internet playing, not offline solo
EDIT: also on Switch* since I already preordered the PC version
I definitely think it will have online play, I’m just not sure if the hardware can handle 8 player games. Maybe hold off on preordering the Switch version until closer to the beta. I do see that the switch says up to 8 players on the D2R page though.
I picked this up just now after reading an email about it thinking it was saying the beta access started on June 13th -.- I had to reread it a couple of times before I was sure it was a mistake on me end… I mean I was going to get it anyway in the long run, but it still feels like like I got scammed even thought I’m sure this wasn’t intentional.
And the end of public beta, they reset heroes or we can continue play them at the official launch ?
Id wager my entire paycheck that it will be all fresh characters at official launch. Thats what ay it works in 99.9% of games

I don’t think there is lvl limit except 99 and they write on the news 5 acts including Baal.
I think Beta would happen sometime in the end of June or beginning of July.
Beta normally happens 2-3 months before the full release of games.
