Official D2R Release Date & Beta Info

September 23, 2021. They just showed a new trailer in the Xbox/Bethesda E3 showcase with the release date! Diablo account also tweeted below.

Pre order does give early access for a Beta in August. You can now pre-order it for Xbox and PS as well.

I thought it was kinda weird they announced the release date at a Xbox E3 show lol but who am I to judge. I’m so happy it’s only a few months away!

Nice. September 23rd, 2021! When’s the beta going to start?

Players who preorder the game will also gain early access to the open beta test taking place in August on supporting platforms.

From the Battlenet linked announcement.

Thanks, added it to the OP for people to see.

They got " world premier" exclusives show at E3. It always work like this.

Still small resolution in Legacy mode in trailer very disappointed.

I am one happy sponge!

Too bad it looks like they didn’t address the “face” concerns…

Wait til beta if it’s the same, it will be in release.

Since my plan is to play D2R (rather than spend alot of time in the character screen) and the game is in an isometric view, it has little relevance to me since you can not make out facial details while playing.

people who made pre-order can play in August but what date exactly?

They didn’t give us a date yet

Increasing resolution means zoom-out in legacy mode. 800x600 is hardcoded into game mechanics and screen size. They just cant increase is without zooming out.

Exactly, some of these people need some :cheese: to go along with all the :wine_glass:ing.

23rd of September 2021<<<
you meant about the pre order beta, true, no date on that one just yet, maybe 23rd of August? 4 weeks is relatively reasonable to track and fix bugs before the release?
