Thanks Mask.
Now can we get that functionality as a icon on the toolbar?
Yes, that one! Like I said, I know it is old, and most of everyone is gone by now, but it was still fun. Especially when someone didnât believe I was a woman and I could point them to that thread.
There is some subtlety to this, so I suggest editing the Trust Level 1 feature as
âEdit wiki posts, with saving subject to Trust Level limitations on features within the post (more on Wiki Posts below)â
I am currently Trust Level 1. I attempted to fix a typo in the DH forum (Red Cellâs) Wiki, but was prevented from doing so because the post contains links, which I canât have in a post until I gain Trust Level 2. I could edit, but I could not save my edits to change the post. Presumably I could have edited all the links to remove them and create a post that was TL1-friendly, but that was not my purpose in editing.
This is actually helpful in an incidental way, since features within the post can be used to give a bit of light security to a post. Want only Trust Level 3 members to edit and save your wiki? Give the post some TL3-only features like animated gifs, images, compatible video embeds, or links from a non-trusted website. (It isnât perfect, as a dedicated TL1 can still edit out all of the security features.) You can also create a TL1-friendly or TL2-Friendly wiki post by omitting all of the TL2 and TL3 features, as appropriate (and probably labeling the post at the top âTL1 friendlyâ or âTL2 friendlyâ).
TL2 is a waste, its privileges are negligible. And privileges are messed up anyway.
I posted cat vids for testing purposes in a thread last week - while I was still TL1. Now Iâm TL2 and I still canât post links to trusted sites, especially your OWN homepage.
Useless.
Is there a way to skip directly to the first unread post?
Hi insidious :
Most of the time, it does so for meâŚ
Other times, there will be a slider on the right-hand side with a âBackâ marker; if you click on the marker, it will bring you to the last post you read.
And, on rare occasions⌠the conversation opens at the first post and there is no Back marker⌠I then just drag the slider down towards the bottom until I recognize something Iâve read before. It doesnât seem to happen too often in my case, however.
Using your screenshot as an example, also note that you can:
Iâm a little curious too.
Supposedly a bunch of people with ~5,000 posts or whatever got TL3.
Iâm assuming theyâve had to alter them from 20,000 since our forums just arenât that active. Most of the class section forums are dead besides the Barbarian one.
In the 60 days the new forums have been active, the US (English) forums have had 2500 topics (threads) and 27,900 posts. Thatâs an average of around 42 threads and 465 posts a day.
The original TL3 requirement was based on 50 days activity within a 100 day rolling window and required 500 threads / 20,000 posts to be read every rolling 100 days. Thatâs an average of 5 threads / 200 posts a day. So, the US (English) forums have more than enough activity to satisfy the original requirements, even though the requirements appear to have been lowered.
This may be a silly question, but even though I think I might be T2 which I would be content with, I cannot seem to post links? I actually feel like a luddite (except I like technology)âŚ
There have been several times when some has asked something and I would have like to post a screenshot due to profiles being offline to assist. or give them a link to find what they are looking for. As I said Iâd be happy knowing how far away from T2 I am or if I am already and I am technological putz
Not far away at all. You are currently Trust Level 2.
Yours can be found here: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d3/u/Bassdude-1227.json

âŚshows you got Trust Level 2 on August 13th.
Another way to view your Trust Level is to use the Web application written by Pachimari, a MVP on Europe. You can access it here: https://bit.ly/trustlevel.
As far as posting clickable links and/or pictures⌠that is still reserved to TL3s. In the meantime, you can transform your links to preformatted text so that the people you are helping can copy/paste the link directly into their browser. To post a link:
https://bit.ly/trustlevel
. The link will not be clickable but, at least, it shows up correctly. Thanks Perusoe
Thanks Meteorblade
Thanks Boubou
But it still says I cannot include links in my posts which is why I questioned it.
Yes⌠you need to be Trust Level 3 to include links⌠see New Forum Guide - Syntax & Features
TL 2s can âCreate links and video embeds to trusted websites like Blizzard websites, YouTube, or Twitchâ
Ah - thanks - that is quite a way away yet. I am about to get busy again. Bummer.
I am content with level 2 - no complaints Thanks people.
I suppose that⌠if we asked Nevalistis really, really, really nicely⌠Blizzard could reconsider the requirements for posting clickable links and/or pictures. Or, at the very least, add Imgur to the whitelist so we can post Imgur picturesâŚ
Boubou, I appreciate the suggestion, but I actually think the way it is structured is good. It means people have to be active participants, basically be solid contributors more in a positive way (likes etcetera) and it limits the trolling as we have all seen.
I am patient. Sheesh I have been playing this game since Diablo 1 on floppy disk.
Outside of the obvious that I am no spring chicken, it says I must be patient (probably loyal as well). Cheers
EDIT: I am content to âearnâ my right to post links and piccies
You can posts links. Just not clickable links.
Boubou gave you instructions how (above):
