The smart thing to do would be to go through the rift as fast as possible, nearly kill the guardian, then wait for the timer on 150 to seem legit. Then go back to 149 and do speeds.
The leaderboard records include the character profile, which will show the skills and gears used. One glance at the setup would render it obvious even if they wait out the timer.
