I’m just waiting for more info on raids and drops and party rewards so i can decide how many accounts i will multibox. I’m going to be the best guild in the entire world.
No, that I did not do, good call/catch. Dang, too bad I already bought this new one or I would go to support and see if they can find it so I can play it again. I guess I still could. For now, I am good with this account. It’s a fresh start and I can always go onto Maxroll or Icyveins if I want to look up old character builds.
Which reminds me, I want to look up that zDH since I can’t seem to remember how I had mine a while back. I do remember spinning, so GoD set with rucksack for 5 guardian sentries. It would be nice to get into those GR 130+ parties again. Those were so much fun. Good thing S27 will start soon. I am jonesin’ for some more seasonal play with those sanctified powers. I know PTR doesn’t count, but I enjoyed it.
I disagree.
Every single game I’ve played that allows it was ruined because of it. The reason companies allow it is because it’s additional income.
If you engage with just yourself, no. If you engage with others, absolutely. No sane person would ever think it wasn’t.
this is factually incorrect and i’ve done various studies on the revenue from multiboxers vs non and it’s less than 1%.
the truth of the matter is that most online game developers used to actually play games, and it just so happens that game developers are above average intelligence and extremely computer literate, so naturally they fit the personality of the gamer that needed more to stimulate the mind. Hence most game developers were multiboxers themselves. In turn, most of their games allowed multiboxing, and there’s no reason why not to do so. Only the smaller minds can’t understand that 1 person controlling 5 characters could never defeat 5 people controlling 1 character each. One brain simply can not defeat 5 brains of equal skill and intelligence. It’s literally why you’ve never seen a multiboxer in a Blizzcon for pvp or pve. Though, not all brains are created equal, and those are the brains that think it’s unfair.
Now bots that multibox, that’s a whole other topic. Botters ruin every game.
My personal studies have shown it to be factually correct. More accounts = more income. Most people who can multibox will find how beneficial it is to them… and likely make another… and another. There are people on WoW who have 20+ multibox accounts. That’s a good $300/month from just 1 person.
This is a matter of opinion. Some of the design choices for several games put this statement highly into question.
Even being generous at the time during Legion it was estimated that multiboxer revenue was less than 1% of the total subscription base. WoW had around 1.5 million subs and the entire multiboxing community floated between 2k-5k during it’s peak.
There’s far far more people who spend $40 on character services, shop cosmetics, pets, and mounts every month and that’s where they pull in the most money.
Where did these estimations come from? Is there any evidence to support it?
i love multi boxing especially if they add you must have x amount of players to enter y zone. Sometimes its hard to find players, and its just way faster and more efficient to load up another account and alt tab away.
Many games I end up playing 2 accounts a healer/tank combo or double range dps (thats abit harder unless the one range has an auto shot ability) lol - I’m old and not as nimble as a 50 year old anymore
I’ve personally always thought this was horrible game design. I play a MMO that’s 20 years old and still has necessary zones that do this.
Yes, these games are online or some even MMO but that doesn’t mean someone should be shoehorned into playing with others if they prefer not to… outside of PVP because that’s apparent.
me toooooooooooooooo (min character limit) hah
I don’t know what your on, but while multiboxing technically is allowed, the automation software it requires is definitely not. That includes ALL Blizzard games. Including (now) world of warcraft.
Automation people will argue until they’re blue in the face, even attempting to gaslight you, arguing semantics, etc to try justifying its uses.
“Well, it’s actually just a flag code launcher”, trying to re-word “automation” to make it sound legit.
One button, one action. Blizzard has been clear.
“B b b b b b but, I press 1 button, a text file just makes it happen more than once, therefore, it’s ok!” - Typical Rationalization
WTH is Multiboxing?
20 chars
It’s playing the game…
using 20 chars
Being able to run more than 1 account at the same time on the same server.
This can be done via PC with multiple sessions one for each game that you can toggle between, or you could get special software to make it easier to switch. But now you can no longer clone your movements so the special software doesn’t do a lot to help.
I used to multi box a lot a few years back even had ISBoxer, but it was more of a PITA then helpful to be honest.
If I do it at all now, I just use two monitors and toggle between them with Alt-Tab.
I have a video on how to set up the simple way to do it:
This was done a few years ago, but still accurate.
So anyone that does not share your opinion. This is rather an awful opinion to have.
Multiboxing have ruined games before. Servers on WoW. Pvp and such. ¨
There’s nothing illegal to purchase multiple copies, now I only need 1 copy to play but… that’s only me
If one day I open up a a Twitch account in order to stream, then yes I’m going to grab at least one more copy
