Multiboxing SHOULD be allowed with Diablo IV

Multiboxing is such a great thing to use with any game, and I hope it is allowed with D4 just like it is in D1, D2, D3, D2R and Diablo Immortal.

Anyone that doesn’t like this has a bad opinion about games in general.

Let’s dust this up with a bunch of posts about the joys of Multiboxing in D4!

as far as i know , it’s not “allowed” in these games.
it’s simply not the first thing they are trying to eradicate , first being bot and Map hack etc…
and for the time being it’s “tolerated”

just giving my current thought on it , not really into that personally , never used it , never will and users don’t bother me that much, i don’t consider diablo a competition.

Though for ladder fast runs to max level it might be a hindrance i guess.

Eitherway i doubt they can enforce it , hence why it’s tolerated
It also allow blizzard to get more sales i guess.

Just what we need… Another thread about multiboxing. You’d almost think we’re in that quiet period between seasons where people have nothing better to do.

Multiboxing is officially allowed according to Blizzard’s own statements in WoW and Diablo. Automation is against the rules.

From Blizzard’s point of view, multiboxing is more sales and more money.

Also, enforcing a ban on multiboxing would be exceptionally difficult. How would Blizzard know if one person or 2 were entering manually commands on two separate computers?

No it’s not. This is lies.

It definitely should not be allowed.

Ban all multiboxers.

As long as you don’t have the ability to throw X amount of skills with one press of a button in PvP I couldn’t care less about it. (X being number of accounts you run, running into a 15+ multiboxer in WoW sucked)

Blizzard’s anti-cheat has been able to scan your active RAM since the early days of WoW at the very least(and multiboxing doesn’t generally use 1 computer per instance of the game).

If they really wanted to ban people for running multiple accounts on the same PC, they’d be able to do it.

There’s just not much of a point now that multibox software is considered automation.

Multibox for life.

It is allowed in D1, D2, D3 and Diablo Immortal.

We all know multiboxing will be allowed with Diablo IV.

Several people can play the same game together in the same house, using the same WIFI and internet connection. Blizzard CANNOT and SHOULD not ban any of those players, ever, period.

I and my friends like to get together and all play together in my house, they using their laptops, all of us on the same connection. That is completely legitimate and allowed.

With all of us being in the same location and on the same connection, this falls into the definition of multi-boxing, and as such we are doing nothing wrong, are not cheating and should never be punished for it. Period.

Multiboxing means the same person is controlling multiple accounts on same computer.

Playing with a bunch of homies on a Lan connection is called a Lan Party and is a ton of fun with all of you homies! yeah!

Well regardless, there is no way for Bliz to tell the difference, thus the reason it exists the way it does.

Packets sent back and forth from each computer to and from server leaves a log that Blizzard can read that shows different keystrokes from each computer’s account playing.

This easily shows Blizzard it’s not one person manually running multiple accts. or its multiple people playing on their accounts separately.

Yeah the thing is multiboxer rarely use multiple computer, they more like have 10 account running on 1 computer. But yeah we just know y’all gonna ruin the game in a matter of weeks so anyway

You can only run 4 copies of D3 in one game.

Even 5 copies of D3 can’t run by one person…only 4 max can.

Hiding out in other threads now instead of owning up and answering questiins in your own eh? Sad.

I mean, this thread was clearly set up as flamebait so what did you expect?

No thanks. I saw that way too much in WoW, especially in the BGs. I don’t need to see that anymore. It’s not clever or even remotely funny. It’s just 100% annoying. Luckily, I haven’t seen that in any Diablo game and I don’t want to start with D4 either.

Not true. Not true at all. I do not like the whole multi-boxing idea and I like games. They are a temporary reprieve from reality, a luxury, and privilege that I enjoy 100%.

Than why don’t you play more?

You barely play D3, which is fine, but it shows you don’t like D3 much.

Anyway good luck on the new season.

This is a new account. My old one started when D3 did and ended with season 22. Since I can’t remember my old account to save my life, I had to make a new one. Bummer too. I miss all my old pets. I miss all my old character names too. That’s okay. I don’t mind starting from scratch again.

I kept the old account going and played it when I was on a WoW break. I started WoW a few months after launch because I was still playing… D2. I kept that going off and on till BC. I stopped playing WoW in 02/2018. I played classic for a short period of time and ended that about a year ago.

I jumped around from game to game, spending a lot of time on Grim Dawn, and eventually came back to Diablo. I bought and played D2:R for a long while, getting most of my characters into the 70s and 80s. Then I decided to try Immortal since it’s now on PC. I DL’d the beta and got the Barbarian to level 10. I stopped playing Immortal because it reminded me of D3 too much and I would rather play D3 than Immortal. It’s fun, just doesn’t have a PC feet to it. It’s more console or arcade. I stopped playing those before I was a teenager.

So, I started up D3, again, and played nonseason for around a month or so, then I started S26 around the 2-month marker because I need stash space and I wanted to do those Echoing Nightmares. I like where S27 is going with the Barbarian, my favorite class since the start of D2, so I chose to stay a while… longer and play.

I like D3 a lot, that’s why I am back playing it. Since I don’t have another internet game, D3 will get all of my attention. When my cruddy internet gets a little too wonky, I’ll jump on D2:R, Grim Dawn, or Heroes of Might and Magic III for a while.

Like I said about games “temporary reprieve from reality, a luxury, and privilege that I enjoy 100%.”

Edit.

I work at home. So, sometimes I don’t get to play as much D3 as I would like. Plus, I do spend time here too, that also takes away from my D3 characters. Meh. I am not worried about it. Plenty of time to play D3.

I assume you tried support to help with your account details?

Man if there is no way to get the acct details back to you I feel bad for you.

That really sucks.

I have all my acct details on a notepad text that is read only and have copies on pen drives and other SSD’s.

I wish you well.
