I PvPed a lot in Diablo 2, but it was always in PvP games with people who were also looking to PvP. Call me a square, I guess?

Hammerdin: Don’t get block locked, enigma tele lock him. Boom one shot, unless dodge. Either case, my hammerdin was geared enough to out play guidazons, even though that build counters me pretty hard. Most cases, we tied.
I mean i can go on and on. WW barb, it’s all about angles, you can wreck an amazon windfury. TBH I find it funny that you mentioned amazon with windfury, they weren’t even that crazy. They had their counters, like almost every other build.

Look, it’s great that multiplayer options were added to the franchise, a lot of us like that now and then and I guess some people just can’t entertain themselves, even with a computer and a great game. But they’re not the one real way to play, or the best way, and certainly not the original way.
Just sorta feels like a cop out after I demonstrated a problem with a D2 style system and asked for your thoughts. Saying “give me a year or three and I’ll get back to you” is weak sauce.
Calling someone names whom you don’t agree with is indicative to a low IQ and a low EQ, your position on the matter also reflects these low numbers.

Alright last one. I was 12-13 when i first started playing diablo, maybe a bit younger. I was on a swim team, soccer team, and wrestling team. All the while going to church, and private school.
So i don’t know what you are on about guy. First and foremost, to imply that i would have to have no life to play the game the way the majority of players did, is funny to me. I was just smarter about it, and invested time in joining clans and making connections. Go play diablo 3, it’s there waiting for you, go to rainbow unicorn forest, shoo shoo with your nonsense.

And you have officially ousted yourself as someone who clearly DIDN’T play d2 pre 1.10 patch. I clearly stated in 1.09 yet you seem to not understand this.
No one played hammerdin in 1.09 (you know the most popular patch during Diablo 2’s entire history). It literally wasn’t a viable build. And Pally’s were overall pretty terrible at pvping back then.
You clearly played during the later years of D2, and that’s fine. I’ve played literally every patch of D2 LOD as they came out. And again you call me the one who has “linear thinking”.
There was no enigma in 1.09. Item didn’t yet exist btw.
Amazon was far and away the best PVPer in 1.09. Especially once white rings release.
You clearly didn’t play D2 till way after release and are using your moment of playing as an example of how EVERYONE experienced D2.
This is why you and others just can’t grasp how big D2’s community is. It spans over decades with multiple players in different eras. Each patch brought something different and changed META’s and playstyles. It’s just irritating that you’re coming onto here acting like you’re some encyclopedia for D2 when you have no idea what you’re talking about.
Edit: White rings never really “released” they were a massively duped hacked item.

In which case, i have no answer, because that was a very weird time in diablo’s history. White ring was a bit canc**r and i strayed form pvp during this era, it was completely fuc****.

Nothing to do with tough guy talk, you are just a fool. Anyone that takes the time to really read how you respond and comment on fabrication will see it. It’s just frustrating that i can’t call you out on it at the moment. It’s detrimental to continue conversation on fabrications. Well, you see I thought I was talking with Mr. “I know everything about Diablo 2”. See there was only one era where guided arrow/pierced builds were popular. They were nerfed to the ground in 1.10. But you clearly didn’t play during this era, and didn’t know that.
And that’s the problem with your whole argument and your clear naivety to Diablo in general. You only understand how the game played during very specific eras. And you project your playstyle as the one “everyone did”. It’s a very arrogant and ignorant way to look at things… But hey, you do you boo boo.
But that’s why everytime I call you out on your ignorance you bait and switch the argument or just ignore it completely. I’m still waiting to hear how you “one shot baal in hell” like you claim you can.

Hey if thats how you see me “mr know everything”, that’s on you guy. I do know a few things though, how you are full of sh**. Guided arrow and pierce was always played, and always strong. During this white ring era, i stopped pvp’ing, because it was stupid. Any real pvp’er during this era did as well, although you are clearly didn’t sail on that ship. For anyone not familiar, white ring was a player made items, that was duped to oblivion, it wasn’t suppose to be in the game, and was eventually removed.
See that’s the problem with your whole argument, you are pretending to be made from the same cloth. Talking about PvP during an era when PVP it was irrelevant. You ask broad questions, like how do you counter a zon guided/piercing, and you expect me to know that you are talking about 1.09, the glitchy white ring era. If you would have phrased it like endless piercing guidazon, then i would have understood. Or if you were actually intelligent enough to simply say guide zon in 1.09, that would have been clear enough wouldn’t it Ashy boy? What a weird sense of bias you have. I’m not sure if you have some attention issues, so let me help get you back on track, i’m pushing for the general idea of open pvp, no limit trading, and stats. I have also stated the complete *obvious that PvP was the endgame in diablo 2. So what are you on about now weirdo?
