Not much of a solution. I am sure the majority of users like myself who are having this issue have the game installed on our C drive which is the operations system and on a SSD/M.2.
Also it was first happening maybe 1-2x in a rift or grift for 15-30secs now it’s happening even more than that and in even non rift/grift modes like bounties etc in adventure mode. I had even reformatted my drive/windows 100% and everything fresh installs and it still continues.

Scroll to top there is a bandaid but you have to keep applying it and you lose sound. I basically can’t play as much myself as it happens 3-4x during grs 1-2 in rifts and every bounty or two. This issue got worse on my end since it started it doubled.

We shouldn’t have to use work arounds such as those that were provided. Blizzard being such a big company should use its resources and fix this problem. There are no excuses that something like this that is stopping customers from playing your game because you cannot fix something. You have the people to do it so work on it or hire out and get help.

Everything I do I get 20 lag. Every rift and greater and bounties even more the past week it’s getting much worse. Blizzard step up and do something this isn’t right.

Yea it is getting worse. I average 1 freeze >10 seconds for every gr < 3 minutes.
100% Unplayable.

Diablo 3~ nah dev’s quit doing their job years ago.

What we should all do is start trying to get help through the ticket system. Obviously this forum is useless. If we can clog up the ticket system, maybe someone will pay attention. Click “Contact Us” under technical support then keep clicking through till you find “I Still Need Help”. Get a ticket created and submit. You will need your DxDiag and your MSINFO files.

If you’ve been playing Blizz games long enough you should know they ignore a lot and push thing being fixed from months to years. They make it a habit.

Pestering CS staff isn’t going to make the developers fix this any faster. They’re two separate teams. The best the CS/TS staff can do is pass along the info they’ve gathered, which they already did, and let the Classic team come up with the fixes. Taking up resources that could go toward players that need help in other areas makes no sense, and if they saw a pattern emerging wherein that started to happen, they could well give those folks a nice little vacation for abusing their support system (here’s a hint: inciting others to abuse a system can be actioned should that actually occur).

I was hoping the Classic team would revert the FMOD package to the last known working version, but the most likely scenario at this point is that they’ve incremented their internal builds to the point that they can’t revert it and either have to come up with a workaround or wait for the FMOD developers themselves to push out a fix for them.

As for us players, we’re just going to have to wait it out.

As soon as i upgraded my Windows to 2004 the game started freezing in GR and crashing on loading screen. Blizzard please fix your game, couse its getting unpleyable.
