[Main Thread] Problem Loading Game License Code 395000 / Error 300016

Tried everything and i cant still cant play, have yet to see blizzard look in to getting a little annoying coming form one of the biggest gaming company’s out there.

I just reinstalled diablo 3 today to hop on and check the game out, I haven’t played since season 17 or so. I keep getting this message

“There was a problem loading the game license. Please try again. Code 395000”

If I swap to euro or asia realm characters load fine(I have no toons on those realms) I googled this issue and tried various things and none have worked. I tried switching to 32bit from 64 in hopes it would do something to no avail. I have scan/repaired the game file, reinstalled onto a different HD even. I feel like this is a connection issue and not one on my end but I don’t know what else to try at this point.

Does anyone else know anything I can do to fix this or get on? I do not have the necromancer expansion but that shouldn’t matter. You should be able to login without it just not have that content, also the fact I can get on eu/asia servers makes no sense.

edit - I did want to add that prior to this about an hour before I had to verify my battle net account with a code because of the lengthy time in between login(years) and once I did that I was fine. But this doesn’t answer why I could get on eu/asia but not USA.

Same problem here 395000 Error. Hope this gets fixed quick I want the anniversary wings!

Same issue here. I logged into D3 on my PS4 with no issue then installed my PC version and get this license error.

me too every time i try to load diablo 3 on the screen where it says loading characters or whatever takes forever and then it lags really bad plus i didnt get my d2 anniversary wings or anything when i logged in :frowning:

Having the same issue. First the update wouldn’t download and then when it did getting the same error everyone else here is.

Having the same problem on MacOS, it’s the first time I’ve played in years and it’s suddenly giving me license errors after a fresh install this morning. Can’t use that fancy tool, but I can provide a trace if needed.

Yep, Same problem. Clean install after long absence, first got 395000, the when game fully installed got the 300016. Firewalls off didn’t work. Not sure how to install the 32-bit version to try that method.

i did exactly this, opened Diablo 3, error appeared, alt+tabbed back to desktop, close battle net app completely, logged manually on diablo 3 with authenticator. It works:

Follow up my issues were resolved when Temporary turned off the Windows 10 firewall then booted the game after one time of doing this i got the normal pop up on windows 10 after turning the firewall back on of enabling it for diablo 3.

Here’s what worked for me after getting error code 300016. I opened up the Battle.net launcher, clicked on Play. Had Diablo open and waited for the fail to happen. After it failed, I Alt Tabbed out, opened up the tasks and closed out Battle.net launcher all together.
Tabbed back into the game and logged in there manually, put in my authentication code, and voila. I am in the game.
It only took 1 try.

Seems like Diablo is having an issue verifying the authentication itself through the battle.net app. If you have the Blizzard Authentication app on your phone to log in, seems like it’s causing issues.
Family member doesn’t have this feature and they were able to log in just fine.

It’s 1933 EST July 01, and I’m receiving the 300016 error code. I’ve tried all the above tips without success. Fails while retrieving the hero list.

I am able to get into Overwatch just fine.

Finally seems to have resolved itself. I don’t believe anything I did actually affected it, just finally connected.

I just purchased The Eternal Collection today and receiving the 300016 error as well. I tried switching over to the 32-bit version (as recommended elsewhere), but that didn’t work either.

Same problem, came back after a year or two hiatus, cannot load the game. The game works on europe and asian servers where I don’t have characters, but doesn’t work on NA. This definitely seems to be an issue with older accounts. Fix this please Blizzard.

How long is this going to be going on for this is ridiculous still cannot log in, same 395000 over and over when trying to retrieve heroes.
