Got directed to here by support ticket. Created a character around 24 hrs ago and the game crashed. Ever since then the game could not find the hero list.

Was also directed here by a ticket. Tried to rebirth to a seasonal character about 12 hours ago (20:30 MST). The rebirth lagged and errored out and now I canā€™t log into US region.

WOW! Is it fixed? I almost canā€™t believe it. It seems to be fixed for me at least but hopefully itā€™s gonna be a permanent fix and not just a temporary one. Weā€™ll have to see. Hope that itā€™s fine for all of you! Thanks Blizzard for the help. I can apologize for all that whining but i still think that it was justified for me to complain about this issue because I was unable to play for 24 hours. I canā€™t wait to see some replies way labelling me at some stuff but i donā€™t care about that anyway. Trolling is part of society nowadays.

Having this same error code. the EXACT circumstances leading up was this:

Was grouped with my fiance doing some rifts
Logged out, but stayed in group, cause we were about to get a carry
Attempted to make a new character while still grouped up
Clicked ā€œcreateā€ and the game froze up
I waited a few minutes to let it recover, but when it didnā€™t i alt+F4ā€™ed the game

Since then when I try to log in I get past the authenticating step, but then it hangs up on retrieving hero info for a few seconds, then the error pops up.

Ticket was submitted and I got a response saying to come here and add my story. So, I did

Appears fixed for meā€¦ Crossing fingers this is a PERM fix. My vaca is almost over and I have the urge to spin to win!

Update: The Diablo 3 team found the issue and restarted some back-end services. This error should be clearing up now so please try logging in again if you havenā€™t already.

We appreciate your reports and patience while it was being worked on.

It seems the fixes is incomplete. The lag I experience is ridiculous. Even for a solo play. I have checked with my friends in ANZ and they also experiencing bad lags.

This thread is focusing on the inability to log into a game with a specific error code.

If you are able to log into a game but are experiencing lag, thatā€™s likely a separate issue that you want to report in a separate thread.
