I already explained you will find 10% more uniques with 445 than 300. This is not trivial.
This means for every 10 elite uniques over the years, you will find 1 “bonus” on average
That’s a big deal.

No it’s not… learn how math works please.
If you have 250 - 300% MF you’re at a gain of roughly 120% - 140% unique find. (I didn’t look at the exact numbers)
But if you’re at around 350% - 400% MF you gain about 10% unique find… it’s not worth finding doubling the chance to find more garbage at a 10% increase of uniques.
Is it your inference that your chance to find Blue magic items will inhibit your chance to find Gold unique items? Is that what you’re trying to explain?
I’m trying to understand your argument, is all, the phrasing of your post is difficult for me.
Despite the condescension, I would like for you to explain in detail so I can understand.
445% is 10%more real MF than 300%, so I am struggling to see your issue. 445% doesn’t slow kill speed at all with a sorceress.
Has anyone posted a topic debating the idea of having mf stack with a boss glitch? I always thought it was silly that mf was a game function but the best way to find loot was to kill a boss having not done the quest yet, and have no mf gear equipped (at least in classic, maybe it’s different in LoD).
The mechanics work out differently in LoD, it’s almost always advantageous in LoD to stack MF when glitching, except when looking for LLD equipment. (or specific rares)
Classic is unique in that regard, where glitching gives a several-fold increase to BiS items, being rares.
Welcome to the forum. Interesting question from a 3rd all time post.
No they won’t change how MF works. And there is no magic number, the benefit is logarithmic. The balance is to be found between speed kills and mf stacking. Good mf can be between 400% and 800%
Ok I think I’ve figured out what you’re trying to say.
Just to let you know, uniques are rolled before magic items, so there is no trade off. You get both advantages.
