Looking for Grim Scythe tips

Tbh I can’t stand pushing. Dying all the time pisses me off lol.

But when I heard there is a super tanky and powerful Necromancer build I hopped on putting it together. I mostly just want higher gems levels and exp.

I have cleared up to 117 so far but having trouble now. I’m Paragon 2112. I thought it would be a little more tanky than this. I could lose Nemesis Bracers for Ancient Parthan but those are sort-of situational. Also I can’t stand unity. And giving up Krysbyn’s or CoE for that is gross.

I much prefer speed farming as before this I had only cleared up to 110 or something? I’ve been speed farming 105’s with LoD mages but not sure what to do now.

Whoops. Meant to log out on Grim Scythe build before I exited so people could see it. For now I’ll say everything is augmented. But I could use an Andariel’s Visage plus better shoulders and gloves, plus no area damage rolls on anything yet.

Can you please Post your build?

Yeah it should be in my profile now.

Having a little more luck today. Beat 117 with 4 mins remaining and then 118 with 5 minutes remaining.

Still, wonder how far this build is supposed to be able to go with my paragon. As I mentioned I dont like pushing much so I rarely do it and I’m probably not great at it lol.

Mostly, just looks like your ancient gear is not as optimized. There are some minor options for Krysbin proc or damage increase… Helm could be Andariel’s or possibly even Blind Faith (been wanting to try that one out), but Leoric’s is a great defensive option. I would likely use Amethyst in helm though with Leoric’s.

Biggest skill change I can recommend is possibly dropping skeletal mage. The essence dump isn’t necessarily required when pushing. While you can keep it, you don’t need to activate it every time essence fills.

You can read more about that in this thread:

Continuing.

Missing Ele% on amulet, or having INT on both the rings for example… Missing +armor on chest / life% on belt.

You could opt for either Amethysts or Rubies instead of Topaz in Chest/pants.

Ess of Johan is a pretty good choice, but it has a rather high ICD. I was wondering how it performs vs Briggs’ Wrath. If it feels like it’s performing well, keep it, otherwise explore other options.

Flavor of Time is also an great placement in that jewelry slot for solo push.

If I were running Nems, I’d probably go Flavor of time.
Strongarms could also be a decent option with either pull item.
APDs if you want toughness.

Try to hit… bare minimum 1.7411 AS for 28 FPA. Weapon+2affix+enchantress should do it.
Your area damage is really low too. This build will make good use of AD.

You can also reference general guides for rifting. Pylon mechanics and solo push basics guides are really helpful, Raxxanterax, Wudijo, Bluddshed, Rhykker are content creators that might have a few of those on their channels.

Hopefully this helps.

This build requires density for it to work due to the bonus of ledger disdain AND area damage. To get the most out of the build you need to learn to gather trash around elite and then hit them with GS during COE poison after stunning then with bone armor to proc not only AD but also max out ledger disdain damage potential.
