Going through this thread feels like 2015 man! If only they have listened back then!

I call BS

You would still be farming for augments, level legendary gems etc…

I agree 1,000 is to low, but if you have any ounce of competitive nature in you at all, you are going to do what you need to set yourself up for a top spot. Sure you might take a 3-4 week break like a lot of players do and then come back for that 2 week push, and honestly, I see nothing wrong with that.

I think even 60% is a good indicator.

That is roughly 1300 hours played in a season that last 13 weeks.

How many people do you think get that much ACTUAL play time in? 14.5 hour days for 13 straight weeks? DOUBTFUL

Season 18 started on 23rd of August 2019. I completed Guardian on 28th of August 2019. My highest GR was a GR75 (on the 28th) and I finished with Paragon 693. So, when a season doesn’t interest me, I can very much just do Guardian and walk away.

It’s amazing the few hours a week types dictating limits against people who in one week play as much as they do all season. Ignoring any discussion of bots as justification.

Im 2265 paragon and I haven’t even played much the past month. No 4 mans. Some 2 man stuff early on, but mostly solo. With the seasonal buff it made xp fly by. Speed 120s are something new for sure.

Well then the cap means nothing to you, so what is your point?

Seems like you just backed yourself into an interesting corner, no?

That is far from what is going on here lmfao…

Enjoy not getting your way, it is what it is

Have a look at my seasonal Barbarian…

She’s currently at Paragon 2469. She would absolutely have been affected by a 1000 paragon cap as I reached that on day six of the season. A 2000 cap would also have affected her, albeit later in the season.

The point I was making is that regardless of what the cap is you’re going to affect players when they hit that cap by disincentivising them from playing after hitting that cap.

I’m not in a corner. My position has always been that if you impose a limit, it’s bad because the players that could have gone beyond that limit stop playing because there’s no point after they’ve reached it. It’s irrelevant whether that cap is 1000, or 2000, or even 5000 paragon, the fact that there would be any cap at all means more people would stop playing the season, earlier in the season. My position isn’t based on whether the cap would personally affect me, it’s that the cap obviously affects some players (because otherwise why have the limit in the first place) and those players will stop playing as there’s no point to continue after reaching it.

I already suggested this:

limitation on the number of points of paragon that player can spend in the season. For what purpose do you discuss REAL limitation on the paragon which can’t be added into the game ever?
