One thing that bugs me in D2 is that when I get to Hell, I can no longer see Normal or Nightmare games in the game list.
I had to create 2 throwaway characters - one for Normal and one for Nightmare - just so I can see games listed in other difficulties that I could join with my Hell level character. Swapping in and out of characters to see all the games is annoying.
Can we change that for D2R? Has that been changed?
I thought the devs stated that they would work on implementing this when D2R was revealed at Blizzcon. Go back and watch that video.
indeed there should be some tab to be able to see games of the difficulty you want among other specificities.
and even maybe a search feature , to look for a specific game name (in case you need a shako for example , allowing you to see what games have shako in the title, it’d make the in game trading better overall.)
Yes, the Devs stated that you can now browse different difficulty games, but only if that character has finished said difficulty. Hell characters can browse Hell, Nightmare, and Normal. Nightmare characters can browse Nightmare, and Normal. Normal characters can browse Normal.
This will be fixed and ready for launch, the devs have stated.
Is the plan to join a 7/8 game for mf reasons? Would hate seeing that kind of game filter being abused. To prevent that I demand a game mode like I described here: Suggestion for new game mode

There are so many frequent questions on these forums that are answered here. Although a couple things may have changed (TCP/IP support?), but it is 99% the same. People really ought to watch this if they have basic feature questions because they outline their whole philosophy here.
