You obviously spent a lot of time putting this together. Any Ideas of your own?

I wish Blizzard would ask these types of questions to their players, and then propose their intentions and take feedback before each PTR.

I will put some Ideas below off the top of my head.

  • Staff of Herding: 0.01% chance to spawn a Rainbow Goblin for each staff you hold in your inventory, when you are in the open world.
  • Spectrum: Ability to be used as an Xmog for any weapon type.
  • Skorn: After not dealing any crit. hits for X secs, your next Crit damage is tripled. Can be used with Broken Promises ring, perhaps? Might be tricky to balance.
  • Wrath of the Bone King: Every 15 secs, you automatically teleport to your enemy (like the SK) and your attack speed is buffed to max for a short period of time.
  • Arcane Barb: Chakram does extra damage for each enemy it passes through.
  • Corruption: revert the previous nerf and make it roll 6-7 pickup radius as before.
  • Lacuni Prowlers: Attacks cause you to leap (like a Launi) to your target with a short cooldown that scales with your CDR.
  • Vigilante Belt: I think it is fine like it is.
  • Witching Hour: I think it is fine like it is.
  • Stormshield: When you have not taken damage for 5 secs, you gain a shield equal to 30% of your life.

And this is why the mere thought of adding more items to this game is ridiculous, we do not need anymore dillution of the loot pool, what we need are buffs and skills on useless items we have.

I knew there were still alot that had no powers, but did not realize there were this many.

Windforce was always a bow i enjoyed playing around with in d2

  • Windforce: X% chance on attack to spawn a tornado that pulls all enemies within 20yrds and deals xxx% more damage

I have a few, but everytime I post any suggestions I get flamed most of the time, so I prefer that others come up with any legendary powers to any item they like…

I understand.

I posted a few off the top of my head to get the conversation started. I am sure they will get flamed as well, and that is ok.

Let bad ideas get flamed and die, and hopefully a few of the good ones will survive.

The one-handed mace Neanderthal rolls naturally with thorns on it. I’d love them to add a legendary power that might give people an alternative to Hack / Pig Sticker. As Thorns benefits greatly from Attack Speed (enabling you to apply your thorns value more often) perhaps a stacking AS buff.

I wish they added a real legendary power to Pig Sticker. The current one is pretty much a joke… Could be thorns related or whatever you like.

Well, whilst it’s not legendary, it does have one more primary affix than any other one-hander, which is why it tends to be used for Invoker, as you can have STR, VIT, AS, CDR, Life Per Hit and a Socket, compared to only being able to obtain five of these six on anything else, by rolling off the weapon damage to one of those six. Adding thorns to it would be downright cheeky.

By legendary power I meant -> Squeal!

I think this item deserves something better…

Same with the “Slap!” Daibo (The Paddle)…

True, but it could be better by adding something more useful than squeal and keeping the current up to 30% extra damage against humans/beast.

IMO Skelon’s Deceit (a pair of pants that you can craft) should always roll with elemental damage, this thing would help LON builds, because atm is used a WD exclusive pant and that is pretty weird.

Although this list is nice, it does lack an acknowledgment that some of these items roll with special stats. For a simple example, witching hour to my knowledge is the only belt that can roll attack speed and CHD. Some of these also give buffs to specific skills.

I just wish legendaries without affixes couldn’t be primal.

I just wish legendaries were as strong as primals and got rid of ancients, primals and redesign LoN, LoD to legendaries max damage instead, to free the loot pool from the ridiculous amount of RNG we have right now…

That is a terrible idea, if they do that they should nerf legendary drop rates by insane margin, because a thing like that would destroy the item hunting (just imagine how dumb would be that people will have full primal gear in under 20 hours each season…) if they do that and keep the legendary ratios, people will just quit after 2 days of the start of seasons, instead of 1-2 weeks that is nowadays (because getting legendaries is way to easy).
An idea like that would destroy bounties forever too, because if they get rid of ancients and primals there is no point on rerolls, so people would only do bounties to get the legendaries like ilusory boots (and considering that based on that idea every single legendary is primal, you probably need only 1 pair of each item)…
Also primals are not that great as you think, the only primals that really makes the difference are weapons.

The Grandfather. Make it Barb only and allow the user to equip a second Two Handed Weapon, as Barb should be able to use two to begin with.

This could only be done if all legendaries were buffed before, by adding new legendary powers to those that still miss them and redesign or buff the current weak ones.

Of course the drop rate would be lowered to something similar of current ancient drop rate or ramaladni’s gift and forgotten souls drop rate would be increased to balance the sudden loss in legendary drops or some recipes would have lowered the required amount of souls by half for example.

You would no longer be able to get any legendary or set by clicking on corpses or any other “clickables” in normal rifts and legendary or set items could only drop from resplendant chests, but not always.

Greater Rift Guardians would still drop legendaries and set items, but less than 5 per GR (usually 3 or 4 for 100+ GRs max and 2 for all GRs below 100), no matter how high can you get (even after completing 100-140 GR solo or in group).

Legendary items as the name says should be LEGENDARY, not common like white or gray items…
