Interesting observation from DiabloFans.com

“What’s so suprising about the PTR being out this early is that it means there’s one less thing for Blizzard to discuss at BlizzCon lending even more credibility to the rumors that Blizzard will finally be announcing Diablo IV this year.”

Rumors, take it or leave it.

The plural of rumour is not evidence.

Leave it Avalon, you just got out of the hospital from last year’s hype train crash, don’t do it!!

All their major legacy games have gotten remasters except D2. Best case we are finally getting this, then they will coattail D:I release crap with it.

The floor map and schedule should be up soon, that is what I want to see. I am sill in the hospital, I have not recovered from the crash last year. My doctor said if they have some very good Diablo news for PC this year, that I can leave the hospital for one day to have some beer and chicken wings. If not, I will need to spend some time with the guys in the white jackets. In the special room in the basement.

ah the fabled floor map explanation, what you mean like last year and diablo being next to the main stage and the demo area and look how that turned out.

I thought about something else: What if they dedicate their D3 time at Blizzcon not at the current PTR changes, but rather on what’s coming in the next patch? Could next D3 patch be a really big one with the “system changes” they hinted in the blog post?

It turned out good - a new game was announced. The bad thing was - it was Diablo for phones. If same thing (demo area next to main stage) happens again this year we should expect one of these:

  • D4 as classical aRPG
  • New Diablo as Witcher-like spin-off
  • New Diablo World MMO
  • OW2
  • Other game project

Today is the day man. Let’s hope for the best! After the good news the kotaku writer dropped, it’s possible we get both D4 and OW2 at Blizzcon 2019, with one of these even having a demo section.

I am a pretty positive person by default, so when I say do not be too disappointed if Diablo is not the entire focus of Blizzcon, it is being realistic not negative. Nobody truly knows beyond reasonable doubt. Sometimes I think they should say what the primary focus of the upcoming Blizzcon is. Then people that like a specific game can choose whether to go or do virtual, or not at all as the case may be.

No argument that they know they need to mend the fences wherever possible and probably will in some way. Just do not be too disappointed if it is not everything you wish it to be.

It should be this week 100% right? Next weeks are for the schedule.

Your rumors link is not working; it leads to a personal edit page which no account could access to. If you meant to link that D4 rumor stuff from months ago, I still have suspicions until floor map and VT goodies are revealed.

thought it was yesterday :stuck_out_tongue:

hahahahahahahah - Oh man that’s a good one!

They’ll talk about the other 5 class sets and legendaries we’re yet to receive and Wyatt will run a lucky door prize comp to give a lucky attendee a phone with a Diablo Immortal case.

Diablo 4 will be treated like the cow level.

LOL. What’s more important however is what will be next to the main stage when they release it.

You always have to look from the positive side of things. Life is easier then.

We dunno. I’d say there is a 40% chance we get a D4 demo and 80% we get a D4 gameplay. Once they release the floor map these percents will go up/down depending on what we see. We might get the reverse cow level, you never know.

Poop is still poop even when viewed through your rose colored glasses.

We can only hope, though, I’m one of the few who wants to see D3 supported to it’s full potential still and have no desire to learn another skill system.

I am positive last years announcement was a huge pile of :poop:.

Diablo IV is NOT going to be announced until it is close to a year from release. And it’s not even close to that yet given that the project haven’t been running for more than 3 years.

More likely this is patch and all the implementations indicates that they need Diablo III to run longer than a year, before a successor can arrive.

From marketing pov a year from announce to release is a lot worse than 2-3 years for a big project like D4.

I expect D4 announce with gameplay and a Q4 2021 release.
