i posted in another thread on here, long story short i was able to get the game to launch in safe mode after exhausting all the other suggestions, trying to figure out what the piece is that is breaking it, please anybody who wants to poke around at it with me please do
Unsurprisingly it appears to be the graphics cards both onboard and discreet if I disable both the game will launch but run like garbage
Just adding in my own error code as well. Played yesterday no problem, tried to log in today and now it just CTDās when trying to load into the game.

I donāt remember my error code but what worked for me is creating a new level 1 character, creating a game from the lobby, and then I would be able to get back on to my primary character. I had this issue when logging out in Act2. Might be worth a shot for some of you.
Just for the record, mine was an issue with my audio processor. I was using VoiceMeeter and was having this same issue. After uninstalling VoiceMeeter, I was successfully able to launch the game. Something that might want to be looked at @Blizzard
I just tried your suggestion and it worked. Created a new character and launched the game. Immediately left and switched to my old character and was able to launch into the game. Thanks for the tip. I havenāt done the survey that appears when you leave the game, but Iām going to the next time I play and report this issue in the survey. Overall, I think everyone should try this workaround, and if ti works for you, you should report it to bllizzard. This will hopefully help them in debugging/fixing this issue. Thanks for the tip @Talby
After a reboot, the āwork aroundā no longer worked. I also had issues on another game. So I uninstalled my graphice drivers, rebooted, then reinstalled them. I have an MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super GPU and Ryzen Threadripper 1920x with 32gb @ 3000MHZ ram. My rig by far meets the specs. After uninstalling/Installing the gpu drivers the game has been performing flawlessly. Oddly, I had updated to the latest drivers several days to a couple weeks before installing this game. Iām not sure what got borked on this one exactly, but hopefully this helps some of you out. Even if youāve got and AMD/Radeon gpu, I would still suggest trying this just to seeā¦
I got tired of waiting so I took a snapshot of the code and and the beta version of the game and actual full purchase off the full version of it. I posted it to Instagram tonight on a faster reply since I am blizzcon media journalist. the first blizzcon I went to was in 2015 and got to meet the actual game dev teams face to face I have the highest progression in diablo 3 which was confirmed by them. I actually want to test the game out I see streamers on twitch playing the game or doing asmr instead of actually focusing on the game which annoys me that they can play and I cant.
1E01F951-586A-4D90-AEAB-293DC15748C7 crash code
wheres that at im curios
So I found out why Iām crashing on launch. My laptops graphics card is a GeForce GT 630M. Everything else I have fits the minimum requirements.
Thatās why I get for using ancient hardware. I wonāt cancel my pre-order just yet though. I want to get a fresh computer eventually.
beta getās a 1% from me I mean I guess I could CLICK the play button but then again thatās not even part of the game thats the launcher so idk
Has anyone looked in the location -
%userprofile%\Documents\Diablo II
For any crash reports or error logs ?
No logs there for me
Thank you, uhhnub! This fixed the instant crash for me too. I use Voicemeeter and once I shut it down, the game launched normally.
I got this problem on D3 and same on D2, the game starts and instantly close , and sometimes this run for 10 seconds.
In D3 i solve change the client to run 32bits, but in D2 dont have the 32bits option.
I have been having this error since the launch day of the Beta. Every time I open the game a black screen loads and then will close itself, then the An Unexpected Error has occured pop up appears.
Below is my most recent log plus the most recent error code.

D2 did not support Linux either, nor did D3 but I play both. Iāll wait and see. Someone will it figure out.
So, their solution was simply say that the system is not compatibleā¦
IDK why I was expecting anything else from them =)
Damn youāre so right.
This is what they said to me from Support Team. It is purposely push the level of the game in Beta it seems to test the high-end machines with powerful GPU and CPU from players. No anyone can have such machines
Epinexet
Hey there,
As mentioned previously, this system does not meet the minimum requirements for Diablo 2 Resurrected for the minimum GPU. As a result you will not be able to play during the beta test. You can find the minimum hardware and OS requirements for Diablo 2 Resurrected here: Diablo II: Resurrected System Requirements - Blizzard Support Please note Diablo 2 Resurrected requires a much more powerful GPU and CPU than Diablo 3, and any system below those requirements will crash on launch as you have experienced during the beta.
I hope this helps clear things up a bit further, and you do have great luck testing the game if you get access to a more powerful system!
