Instant Crash When Pressing Play

Aug 13th. Beta client. Win10 fully updated. System meets Beta requirements and was able to play Alpha with no problems. I can start WoW if that helps too, so it is not something with Games overall or with my launcher.

Game crashes instantly when Play button is pressed generating an error message.

Scan and repair
Restart Launcher App

None helped.

Lots of reports of this in the D2R forums.

EDIT - error codes are unique crash event IDs and will be diff for each person.

I have the same crash.
Report ID: 20F82B6C-D13E-4D34-ADB4-399B1544C4AA, but it changes every time when I try run the game.

Same here.

I don’t get an error message at all though. The screen goes black and then nothing.

Nothing in event viewer or in any logs in my install directory for the beta.

EDIT: This is what I got for Windows 8 compatibility on the exe itself

same problem, reinstalling Battlenet launcher and D2R install didn’t help

I have the same issue. Except i’m using Windows 10, Parallels on a 16 gb Mac Mini

found the crash logs, not sure how to decipher them but one error (i think) says -

ACCESS_VIOLATION

This may help.

Also people are reporting on there accounts that there is no active or inactive posted next to d2R, while a game like Overwatch states active.

Have crashed about a dozen times trying to get into game play. No error codes shown

I checked mine and it says D2R - Active

Does not seem to impact my crash status.

Yep same issue. Been trying since it went up.
