Dex, Vit, and Sentry. So far what few ancients have rolled rolled with dex, armor and some random other skill.
Right. Still, dex-vit should be pretty common pre reroll. You’d expect to get that in a few drops at most. You must’ve been quite unlucky. Is dex, all-res, sentry also viable? Is marauder sustain based on % life?
I have said this many times. You play for hours / days for mats & blood. You go to Kadala to spend the blood, What do you get 99% yellows & blues. If you get maybe some thing you need.
Now you take that to the cube to see if you can get a ancient. 99% of the time NO. Now if you get a ancient 80% of the time it comes with the stats you don’t want. Now you take it to the fat lady to see if you can reroll a stat. Again 99.9% that will not happen for something you really want.
This season I tried to get Ancient Marauder boots with All Resist. That never happen I just kept getting boots with a resist on the 2nd set of stats. So you have to live with the Good & the Bad in this game. Plus you live with more of the BAD then the GOOD!!!
But there was one time I did get 4 primals in 15 mins at the cube. I think it was in season 18. I got 35 primals that season too. I wanted to see if I could get more but ran out bounty mats. LOL
Ancient ratio for reforge will not be higher, just accumulate for more than 10-20 attempts by amassing around 500+ Forgotten Souls then try your luck on reforges.
If that fails you always have Kadala and Cube for upgrading rares. Attempting armor pieces at Kadala are dirt cheap compared to jewelry and weapons then you can always try upgrading rare items.
By the time you accumulated hundreds of Forgotten Souls, you should be pretty comfortable at Veiled Crystals and loot too. Use crafting material convert recipes, smartly and you’ll have just enough. When you keep hitting GR90+ for speedfarming, eventually you’ll get some good loot. Also there are very monster dense areas while going for the bounties so keep your eyes open to stack a chain of kills.
If you can not find a good armor piece for months into the season, that’s about you wasting your resources. Maybe I’m being bold but I can’t make another explanation. While all of them are more or less the same, there are more than one way to curb down the bad randomization in this game.
IMO, gambling is it’s own reward.
The outcome of gambling doesn’t really matter thus and hence.
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha
First lesson for farming gear. Stop reforging all together!!!
Gear itself is worth very little in the big picture. Paragon and skill will take you
a lot farther. Not to mention you will get gear naturally just from running rifts.
Reforging for ancients would only be useful on the most expensive pieces of gear in blood shards as far as gambling goes. That is only if you are having a hard time finding the pieces of gear. Remember the best way to farm for gear is speedy GR90. That will get you the most legendaries per hour. And GR90 is also the GR where the cut off on legendary drops. Meaning GR90+ will not drop more legendaries than GR90.
Primals are not needed to clear the highest tier of GR. A decently rolled ancient will do just fine. Primals are there just to get that extra percentage of damage and maybe survivability to your character.
So no to the idea of making it easier to get primals.
20 attempts with 500 souls?
Ten to twenty attempts by five hundred and plus FS. As you just quoted.
I agree, 100%. As long as you have the appropriate pieces for set functionality, the game becomes a measure of time and efficiency as opposed to gear score.
You WILL get the gear you want, it may just take time depending on how much you actually play.
I’m still trying to figure out how many souls are needed for 20 reforges.
You need 1000 soul & 100 bounty ea of the 5 mats.
Really? Do you honestly think that I and others spend a lot of time reforging? Oh, and btw the top players reforge in mass all the time. You got to do something with the mats and running GRs is not efficient when it is just one or two pieces of gear you need to upgrade. So, that being said, reforging is the last thing I do to get the final tweaks in my gear. And while you can say that just running rifts will get you the gear you need, it does not necessary get the gear you want. Gear sets have different drop rates depending on the season. I’ve got tons of Justice gear and UE gear for my monk and DH, but Inna’s and Marauders are just not dropping as much. The more meta the gear the lower blizz drops the drop rate. You want to run the best class gear, you have to work just a little bit harder to get it. I mean your logic makes no sense whatsoever. Run a gr90 at ~2mins and get 8 random legendary drops. Run an 8 min split bounty and you get 4-5 targeted rerolls on the gear you are going to up grade. With turnaround that is 24 pieces of random gear vs 4-5 guaranteed rolls on the exact gear you want. Yes, you still have to run the GRs to begin with to get the forgotten souls, but you are going to do that anyways and end up with tons of souls because of it. So, in the end, I will not be taking your advice this time either.
I am a top player. I would know what we do. It is not the time reforging that is a waste. It is the time farming the mats. That is unless you have bounty bots going or you get free pizza from other players. And I would know because I actually have some of the best gear possible for barb on the planet. Outside of a select few I can confidently say I would wager anything on who has better gear. Guess how I got all that gear? 100% of my push set came from GR’s, kadala, or upgrading rares.
Yet you are the one complaining about roll chances on reforging. I see this as a problem when you complain then someone gives sound advice and you don’t like it even though I am 100% correct.
Where have I been that I’ve never actually heard about this? Can you provide proof/links for this?
Alternatively, let the enchant lady do all affixes not just one.
So you are saying that all gear drops at the same rate? No rare or had to get drops? Yeah, I have to ask if you are playing the same game as me. And since Blizzard does not publish the actual drop rates it is near impossible to provide proof. But if you play the game enough you will notice that the more worthless the gear, the more often it drops. It is standard programing for games like this.
Yes all gear has a set drop rate. It does not change based on your feelings.
Set pieces are rarer then regular legendaries. But they do not change season to season.
That is your opinion. Or do you have some inside info that no one else has. Blizzard has been well know to push gear sets when they introduce them. That is why things like CoE used to drop like candy when they where first introduced. As soon as Blizzard figured out that it was a necessary gear slot in many sets they nerfed the drop rate.
I have 10 primal coe in my stash. I don’t have that problem. Maybe spend less time reforging.
