If the lead of blizzard is promoting boosts and pay2win on his twitter, i see nothing but failure and doom for anything made from here on out. The economy will be trash, and anyone you ever compete against will likely have a swiper advantage. I can’t play WoW anymore because every single group function is riddled with RMT “gold” buyers and sellers.
Diablo 4’s economy is going to run on Blizzard Tokens. Might as well call it Forum Gold at this point. They will make it happen. This is their priority, not gameplay. And i wont have any part of it.
Thankfully some game creators like Square/Enix know what real players want and have hard banned boosting and RMT. I could only dream they would also make an ARPG with Final Fantasy Job classes to compete with diablo.
He has complete design control over diablo 4, so yah, no way in hell will i buy a game designed by a game designer enthusiastic about promoting the pay2win style. NO WAY.
What’s the difference between an advantage gained by spending more time or spending more money? Other players have an advantage over me because I can’t play as much as they do, why shouldn’t I get the chance to catch up by spending more money then they do?
And if my money goes to funding future game content, who loses?
