If personal Loot was confirmed

Then the personal loot optional in multiplayer doesn’t affect you at all so why are you gatekeeping so hard against it. Stop being so toxic about a QoL system that won’t even affect your gameplay.

Just because you already have friends in the game, doesn’t mean that you should be making it hard for other people that want to make friends in a game by playing multiplayer.

how i said, go and play d3 if you want personal loot, or make a private game.

this is diablo 2 not any garbage that you find by thousands.
welcome to diablo 2.

Since there is a shared stash, you don’t make mules in this game, it is already not the original.

i don’t get it, are you trying to troll?
i don’t have the patience to debat with a troll today, find another user i just “unsub” this thread not going to read anymore your commentaries.

How so? If each player gets the same amount of loot as if they killed that monster in solo, MP would yeild the same amount of rewards for each individual player.

I’m not a fan of distribution. I am arguing for instanced loot. Think of D3 loot drop in MP.

For XP and faster clears.

I respectfully disagree. What is a fact right now in D2 is that if you want to secure your drops from botters pick it users, you are “forced” to play solo.

in its current MP state this is an illusion. Personal loot will also make me feel like I can pick up all my loot as well.

Pretty hypocritical of you to totally dismiss someone’s view point as a troll when they are only advocating for something that is going to affect the majority of players in public multiplayer games that you are not going to play or be affected by since you already have “friends”. If you are not here for a debat, then why are you continuously replying to people with a different viewpoint than yours to argue with others on the public forums.

Yes, it’s diablo 2, a two decade old game that still has gameplay bugs in its original form and misleading tooltips. Let’s stop putting it on a pedestal and pretending like it cant be improved.

guy, improve yes, destroy no.

you obviously don’t played the game, why you came here as you know what are you talking about?

let the people that played the game decide what’s good for it, this game don’t have personal loot, have some bug and is still being played today, can’t you see how impresive is that?

you can’t understand that there’s probably only 1 or 2 games more in all the history of humanity that did the same?

you can’t to convert this gem, to make it “modern” where those modern games all of them ABSOLUTELY ALL of them die after 1-2 years.

play the game first for a few months, then start making your opinions and complains.

How would a strict remaster realm and a separate modern improved realm destroy D2R?

If you do not like changes, you play in the strict remaster realm. “Nothing” is changed and nothing is destroyed.

You do know that instanced/personal loot was not invented back then. The reason that most subsequent games had personal loot was it was considered the superior option.

There is a reason that gas engines replaced steam engines.

Imagine thinking that a toggable optional system in a public multiplayer game that you are not even going to play since you already have friends (so it won’t affect you), will be “destroying” your game.

why you want to change something that don’t need to be changed?

superior? yeah that’s why all these games die after 1-2 years, because they are “superior”.

posts three more times. lol

I am not suggesting changing the loot system in the strict remaster realm. I am proposing an optional change in the modern realm.

No loot system is perfect. FFA loot has pros/cons. So does personal loot. Since the invention of personal loot (It did not exist when D2/D2:LoD was initially made), almost all video games in the genre has transitioned to personal loot that has been deemed superior by multiple development teams across multiple companies.

Are steam engines broken? No. Are gas engines superior for cars in comparison?

and i keep saying the same, what happened to all those game with personal loot?

the 99.9% die 1-2 years later.

diablo 2 it’s been here for 20 years, and it wasn’t for his graphics.
the most powerfull thing that this game have it’s the feeling:

the feeling of find that extremely rare item
the feeling of getting before the other people in the party
the feeling of when you less expect you find that amazing hr
the feeling of identify a rare item and see it’s so fuc* OP!!!
the feeling of every charm you get can be something good
the feeling of kill that weak monster because you miss clicked the mouse and see and HR dropping
the feeling that you are trying to destroy it’s what make this game last 20++++ years to the point that even blizzard decide to do a remaster, to the point where blizzard maked some patches for the D2 lod even years after the release.

personal loot will destroy all that “feeling”.

that feeling that only that played it know it, and all the people that ask for personal loot obviously never played D2 or they was death inside when playing it.

You assume too much. Only insecure diablo 3 players want personal loot. Chad diablo 2 players want to snatch the items or make mf with friends or in private game

I will keep saying the same thing too.

A strict remaster realm in D2R keep all those things you like about D2 in D2R.

The addition of a modern realm with more changes does not remove the strict remaster realm. You have a preference/opinion that is shared by some and opposed by others. This is a common sense, middle ground solution that lets you get what you want and lets others get what they want.

you are wrong, you are loosing all the real fun of this game with personal loot.

this game isn’t actual games where have 455041515 things to do, isn’t an MMORPG.

if you have guaranteed drop people will be bored in less than 3 months.
you can’t understand that?

you are destroying the real fun for what? for get guaranteed drop?
when i say guaranteed drop i mean if the game want let you get it.

you are not going to see 1000 hr drops, with luck you will see 5 or 10 every month, if you make the game roll to who get you probably gonna get tired of see those extremely rare items and never get one.

this game don’t have 1000 things to offer, but only that “feeling” it’s enough to make it last 20 years.

get your fu personal loot and leave the game 1 month later, it only will hurt you.

You do not get to define what is fun for me or others. As I said, some agree with you, others don’t. To argue that the people who do not agree do not know what they consider fun is presumptuous horse hockey.
