I don't care for the ancient legendary

And the system was illustrated in a book. There’s a reason beyond money that Mein Komph was required reading in Germany during that time.

But sure, the book wasn’t dangerous…lol

Edit:

I mean, you folks are arguing propaganda isn’t dangerous because “it’s just words”. C’mon, you folks know better than that.

Books aren’t dangerous.

In fact you can learn a lot from them. Like history books.

You’re right, “books aren’t dangerous” but the ideas expressed in some books can be dangerous. In other words, propaganda is dangerous and again propaganda is basically just words.

It’s like you folks are ignoring that propaganda exists to cling to this “words aren’t dangerous” nonsense.

I am no lord or person of any form of control other than over my kids. I was set up i tell you! I do prefer caramelised or wholegrain cereals over extra sugar. I’ll take a bloomer any day though, fixed. ONWARDS!

To be honest, it could look to someone that I’m just being contrarian since I basically had to do this same thing in that “The horse costs more than the game” thread but when you’re right you have to stand up for what’s right.

Let’s at least agree on that people can be dangerous
And return to discussing Diablo 3 here :+1:

Agreed, people can be dangerous and I’m willing to let this go. It’s about time for me to hit the sack and I’m really getting tired.

Yeeeeeas i might have 40 winks myself.

Thanks for the discussion anyway. I’m in a different time zone. Appreciate your patience and sorry for any inconvenience.

Not a problem. In my time zone, this is about the time most are getting up for the day, but I’m a night owl most of the time.

It was pleasant talking to you. Not so much that deranged teacher, but you were fine.

The idea of a contrarian is when someone opposes an actual popular opinion. When 5 people come at you on this forum, opposing you, it’s likely only 2 people on alt accounts, hardly “popular”.

Even if those were actual people, that amount hardly qualifies for “popular”. And even if it were truly popular, it’s just a descriptive term. It’s not a brand of shame.

Why did you pick your username Mattelot given its definition in the urban dictionary for apparently the past 15 years or so? For sure, it has been the definition since 2016 according to the internet archive.

Are you the inspiration of the urban dictionary definition or are you trying to emulate that definition or is it something else?

We have 4 accounts in the family. Two are mine and other two are my GF’s & granddaughter’s. I mostly try to use only this account to replay. I did one time use my Davey to reply one time on a topic that I was using the BigRed account.

That was done by mistake. I thought I was on this one. I use more than one computer in the house. That is how I did it. But now all the computers I use only have the BigRed account login.

I let the people here know I have 2 accounts. I don’t hide them so can come in slam people or agree with myself. Yes, I agree with myself one time, and somebody pointed it out. I never did it again.

Yes, I have people block here and two of them are posting here. I really don’t care what they have to say. I know they are here because it says “View 1 Hidden Reply” I never open it. In a way they are wasting their time.

Multiple people in the same house having an account is not unheard of. That’s never the issue. The issue is always when it’s 1 person who actually paid for additional licenses for some of the reasons you mentioned. There are a few who are confirmed to have done this.

I am glad they finally added a way to block people on here. Before, it was just a matter of seeing their name posting, then scrolling past it without having to read it. This new way, it makes the threads shorter so you don’t have to see garbage posts and get right to the meat and potatoes of the discussion. I just wish they made it so each poster was 1 entity, but we know that won’t happen. People like you would get caught in the crossfire and the population of this forum would decrease by a very large percentage.

Just because an opinion is popular doesn’t mean it’s right.

Nobody said that it was right, only popular.

…Why are you playing a loot grinding game?

Nothign wrong with wanting your own playstyle but in this case you picked a game where the entire game works against your playstyle. Because you’re gonna be limited in what content you’re actually able to clear if you don’t at least build your character with good substats on gear (which kinda means decently rolled ancients).

I guess it depends on how far you define “again and again”. I mean, this game is semi-unlimited and most have their limits. Some stop once they hit 150, some stop after the season journey is complete, etc.

I don’t like “again and again” either. I play NS to eliminate some of that.

Yeah I mean, it’s fair to set your own goals and it’s true that everyone does. 150 is the hard cap of what the game offers in terms of challenge, so for a player aiming to clear all the challenges imposed by the game itself, it’s kinda tough to do it without grinding better gear. I’m just not sure as to why someone who really isn’t interested in the main gameplay loop of D3 wouldn’t just go play a game more suited to their playstyle. There are so many games out there to stick to one you’re not even gonna try to “complete”.
