Halo of Arlyse/Tal Rasha Interaction - Frozen Storm

This looked to be an older topic but it appears still relevant today. I did some testing and it seems there is still a bugged interaction between Halo of Arlyse and Frozen Storm not proc’ing the cold meteor from the Tal Rasha set.

While playing I found my character only hitting 3 stacks of the 4 piece buff. Meteor with Thunder Crash for lightning, Familiar with Arcanot for arcane, Explosive Blast Chain Reaction for fire, and was hoping to get the last hit with Ice Armor Frozen storm for cold. This interaction between Ice Armor and the Tal Rasha set does work while NOT wearing the Halo of Arylse, but every time I put the ring back on, I would mostly only ever see 3 stacks of the Tal Rasha buff.

I would re-cast frozen storm in each zone, but that did not seem to fix the problem consistently. Once in a while, I would hit 4 stacks, but I believe that may have been due to the frost nova cast from the ring, not the Frozen Storm aura of Ice Armor.

I also tried putting the ring into the cube and swapping out my ring of royal grandeur, but that did not seem to fix the issue either.

I hope this is enough information to go on! Thanks for reviewing.

Works for me.

Can you record a clip of it NOT working?

Remember that the same meteor type can not fall twice in a row.

There is a long-time bug with Halo of Arlyse causing Ice Armor to stop proccing certain things after changing floors, using a potion, or picking up an item.

They fixed it for some things, but as of Sep '22 (the last time I tested it) it was bugged with Tal’s: Halo of Arlyse not triggering Meteor w/Frozen Storm rune - #2 by TinneOnnMuin-1187

If the old bug is still happening, the reason you didn’t observe it in the clip you posted is because you cast Ice Armor after entering the zone.

I will see if I can still reproduce it.

Ok, I see what you were talking about.

Yep, I just checked and I can still reproduce it as well:

At the start of the clip, I trigger an arcane Meteor from a Shock Pulse: Power Affinity cast, and then a cold Meteor from Ice Armor: Frozen Storm.

After that I use my potion and trigger another arcane Meteor from a Shock Pulse: Power Affinity cast, so I should be able to trigger a cold Meteor again (because my last auto meteor was not cold), but I can’t.

Then I recast Ice Armor, and am immediately able to trigger a cold Meteor again.
