Would strongly advise anyone under 3k Paragon to avoid Crimson’s altogether. Core Zodiac + IB is plenty strong.
Yeah, and it was a very minor multiplier for Bazooka. Leaving Mantle of Channeling the way it was wouldn’t really change the bazooka nerf. Bazooka would still be nerfed with the Deathwish + Etched Sigil changes.
Nerfing Mantle of Channeling too just impacted a bunch of other builds for no reason.
Especially when they tried to force Rend into Wastes. Even in the first iteration of the set, wasn’t their argument that they just didn’t want you to WW all the time, they wanted you to strategically stop to cast Rend? No one did that until they majorly buffed Rend, but that was definitely a component of their original design goals for the set. The Mantle of Channeling changes seem kind of deliberately counterproductive to their set design goals.
I guess the end result is that people will stop using it with Wastes. Which just seems wrong to me. It should at least be a competitive choice for channel builds. That’s the entire point of it existing.

Two excellent points. Not sure what the thinking was behind the Mantle nerf, because it’s never been the item at the center of a build’s power. And not using it in a channeling build? Seems, as you said, wrong.
To borrow a line from Jeremy Clarkson:

It certainly feels that way.
I wish there was more communication about intent, particularly in PTRs. Far too often, we’re left in the dark, providing feedback without really knowing what the goal, much less the goal posts, looks like.

i cleared a GR 128 last week on HC with much less Paragons. It was something like 1860 paras
Look back through this thread (and forum) and you’ll find players of all sorts of ability and paragon posting details of what they’ve managed to achieve. Those posts are usually greeted with congratulations from other Barbs, often with encouragement to go higher. This is the first time I recall seeing anyone bash someone that is posting a personal best.
With the amount of times I died on my way to getting a softcore GR128, I salute you. Congratulations, that certainly impresses me.

atm i am messing aorund with it on seasonal SC for some practice.
i jsut did a GR 125 at 1500 Paras. before 124 without the spear.
i keep dying often so for me theres right now no way using it on HC

Yeah, I love playing Zodiac Rend, but the higher you go, the more important Spear is going to be. At your Paragon, you can definitely push 125-130. Good luck!

Well he kind of has a point, because certain elements screamed that everyone would be face rolling 140 with Rend by now, so what the hell are you doing? 
In seriousness, congrats on the clears everyone, it’s great to see people still pushing their limits, even in light of the dooms dayers saying that no one is playing anymore.

Thanks Free . Yep , still getting familiar with this build and trying to optimize gear . For instance , my Flavor of Time is Primal . But unfortunately I got it right before the new patch with the "pylons last twice as long " change . Best ammy I have for the build at the moment . The ammy and ring’s roll crappy 95% or more of the time for me , and I really need that pylon stat . Twice the pylon time is a real help when in higher GR’s . And a few other gear items need replacing . So , I am gonna back off on the push and farm 115’s for a while and enjoy playing WW . After getting the build set up somewhat good I took it in to some GR’s test runs and accomplished what I have so far while testing it out . I am really quite pleased with WW , considering how weak it was not long ago . Here’s to the dev’s for bringing rend back to the game ! Tier 115’s are very comfortable to play for me at the moment . Averaging about 5 minutes a run at 115 .

We need as many people pushing as possible. I threw about 50 keys at 133 and 134 last night with my best being 134 in 16 minutes and 133 in 15:20. After the 134 I was pretty upset as the missed clear was completely my fault. I let IP fall off and the RG one shot me. Never really recovered as I kinda gave up after I knew it was a fail. Keep hunting the GG rifts.
If someone could lend me an extra 8000 paragon, some 750 STR augments and rank 150 trapped, stricken and taeguk gems that’d be just super, thanks.
