It might be me, probably is, been a while… is gold more an issue, mob density perhaps?, I have never had issues with using greed gem a green helmet gem goldskin and doing the 50 million gold on T16… this conquest this season, it’s being a total PITA. The best I managed before it resetting, YET AGAIN!!!, was 41 million in one run… fields, roc… none workiing for me :((.
Did mine in a T16 nephalem rift… good density monsters in Briartorn Cemetary map.
And redid it again a few hours later in a T16 bounty in the Ruins of Corvus.
Both times… not stopping to pick up anything, except gold… had the Greed gem only, but fast hero (Rend barb).
Keep trying, I suppose…

Oh… and I forgot… don’t use any shrines/pylons. The kills by the clones don’t generate any gold… so you want to do all the killing.
Just now:
I got mine like I do in the most recent Seasons, by running Visions. I run them a lot, for Mats and Keys. Eventually, I’ll get a floor that’s wall-to-wall Goblin Packs, full clear it and help my Pet pick up the Gold before picking up Legendary items. This is especially easy with the Altar unlocked.
No Pylons or Shrines and no Gold gear.
Thanks, guess I’ve just been unlucky so far.
Stack gold find on as many pieces as you can. By that I mean, save every piece that has gf you encounter, that you use on your farming build. For example, sunkeeper, devil’s tongue, or raven’s wing are weapons that roll with gf by default. They aren’t even absolutely necessary for the conquest, if your objective is only gf. Even without those weapons, 50M is ez. Also, squirt’s amulet rolls with gf, up to 80 percent, kymbo’s gold ammy rolls with up to 100 percent. Your farming, so just handling T16 shouldn’t be an issue. Make sure your Boon of the Hoarder is leveled to 50 (maxed out). I have a gold find build (DH) with 46k+ gf, usually getting well over 100k gold gold in a single regular rift. Finally, make sure you or your follower are running avarice band. Happy hunting.
Get into Cow level with Boon of the Hoarder gem at rank 50 and the Avarice will be easy to stack with some extra gold find from equipment. In case shadow clones from shrines don’t generate any gold on kill as mentioned above, then don’t touch the shrines for a while, because they’ll outperform you at early game easily.
Some gold rolls on gear, emerald in helm, Boon of the Hoarder and the cursed chest in Temple of the First born on T16, and profit.
I appreciate all the answers :). I’ve actually done this by accident even in the past lol. This time just felt different with all the focus on the right stuff and places I know have worked for me in the past years :). Only thing I didn’t allow for this time was the shadows killing and no gold dropping off those kills.
Final conquest requirement after even doing one on hard core :). Then season done.
Edit : AND DONE!!!. That was not remotely fun this time around. I think D4 has burnt me out of Diablo altogether LOL.
If there’s one thing i learned it’s to expect nothing and you won’t be disappointed!
Yep, a good Cursed Chest, a 50 Hoarder, and a bit of gold find makes it pretty easy.
If you are doing Curses! too, you can knock them out at the same time. I did it that way in one of the modes this season. Pretty funny knocking out two conquests within 15 seconds of each other!
Cursed Peat on T13+ with a rank 50 Boon of the Hoarder is the absolute ideal way to do this if you don’t mind doing it on a DH (the other classes might be able to do this, but not anywhere near as easily). UE6 build can just stand there at the east end of the platform and mow down the spawning mobs. Vengeance: Seethe mostly takes care of the resources, with you only needing to fire off a couple of generators when you get low (preferrably evasive fire as it coverse most of the area you’re targeting anyway).
I’ve got this and Curses! (naturally) done. Now it’s time for Stars Align on the HC side. It’s the safest option there.
How come people don’t talk about hydras for peat? You just place the hydras down and afk, and you’ll clear with plenty of margin. I doing it on that other site as well that isn’t as good, but requires a bit more precise hydra placement, and it’s just barely a clear. I don’t remember what the area is called, many years ago… Is that an option for you speed runners, as (iirc) that cursed chest is much easier to find than peat?
Otherwise for avarice, most season you get it by accident if you run nephs with boon of the hoarder, especially if you’re running squirts (that has up to 80% gold find). Not sure if clones ruin it this season?
I’ve barely failed with hydras before.
I find it works better if you have Echoing Fury or get a Frenzied Shrine going so you get up to the next breakpoint. Failing at 340 is a bit annoying. Depends on how good your gear is I guess, Im usually doing it at like under 500 paragon with mediocre gear so it might not be as much of an issue at 800+.
Meteors (Thunder Crash with Mempo) is more consistent. Guaranteed success as long as you can sustain your resources.
Cursed Bellows is the next best option, then Cursed Spire. Nothing else is really viable. Ive done Cursed Bellows before, but I’ve also ended up with a bunch of failures at 340, 345, 347 etc. It’s definitely tougher. I don’t think I’ve ever succeeded on Spire, but I’ve been pretty close. It should be possible there with a Multishot DH or something? Not sure.
Mauraider/Grenades Dh is most fun Dh class.
Yeah that’d be the difference. I never bother with those things that early, and hydra is definitely lower damage than meteor.
You can collect 30 T16 horadric caches (1.6M gold each), fit them in your inventory, make a 2M gold strick in any location and open all the caches at once.
The Cursed Pit in the Storm Halls, right across the Unknown Depths are viable too I think. And yes, I think a Demon Hunter could succeed both of these Cursed chest events there.
I don’t think so. Pit is a tier below Peat/Bellows/Spire. It don’t think it spawns enemies fast enough to be 350 viable, no matter the build.
I think Peat/Bellows are the only two worth trying. Spire is close, you can get 325 or so, but I’ve never hit the full 350 there. If you really optimized, it’s potentially possible. Anything other than those 3 just doesn’t spawn fast enough to hit 350 from what I’ve seen.
E.g. a quick test with Marauder Multishot:

Or you can open 31 T16 bags in town. This is the way I used to do it years ago.
I’ve always found Adria’s zone in act 5 to be a winner for this. All the little bugs that come off the walls are great kill fodder. Just make sure you have your leveled up Hoarder gem.
