Yep, that’s been my go-to for a long time.
Can keep a few spare gear pieces (can be whatever crappy non-ancient set pieces, you don’t generally need high end gear for this) and roll gold find secondary on them too, then salvage them when you’re done.
If you have 30k+ gold find and a level 50 Hoarder, you really don’t end up needing very many kills.
Best Gold drop are is with gem of the hoarder = Passage to Corvus and Ruins of Corvus. So many scarabs. Both rooms usually in T16 nets 500mill.
Scarabs are really really really really mean!

I’m officially a minion but I still managed this objective every time it was available.
I tend to focus on visions and bounties (which is not efficient I’m told) and it just happens.
Avarice aside, make sure and pay attention to Puzzle Rings.
