GoD DH Exploit wrecking S25

The problem with it primarily is not the season, but having those earns gained by using a unintended bug then rolling over to non-season.

  • If you earned a bunch of paragon that you weren’t normally going to.

  • If you leveled a ton of gems higher than you normally would have.

  • If you would have found some items that you otherwise might not have.

  • Etc.

This is ultimately the problem. Not what it does to the season itself, other than those that normally are on the leaderboards every season suddenly have their spot threatened and are pissy about it. Suck to be those people I guess, but most of us don’t care about them anyway. However the integration of ill-gotten gains into the normal side that shouldn’t be there would irk off a lot of people.

Resetting the season is only going to piss everyone off, so that isn’t the best option either, but at the same time something should be done.

I’m just going to hold off playing this season till they make a decision as to what to do. If they are going to reset it, I don’t want to waste any more time playing it right now.

Yeah but some streamers have been reported and still sits season after season and uses 3 party programs without any ban… Blizz just don’t care about it anymore

No. I meant report it to Twitch. They took down the VoD of that stream within minutes of it being reported.

Streamers aren’t allowed to use cheats in games or they risk being banned from Twitch.

Problem is that when they ban people they just buy a new key, because blizzard is greedy and doesn’t actually permanently ban people from buying new accounts.

I have. Hopefully they will get a ban. I even made a ticket to blizzard, so let’s hope they deal with it

How do you prevent people from buying new keys?

They would need an ip ban then, people don’t usually move just to play d3

Then they just switch IP or use VPN.

IPs provided by the ISP to the consumers aren’t typically static, they change periodically. IP ban would achieve absolutely nothing.

  1. VPNs say hi
  2. ISPs don’t always provide static IPs to residential customers. The IP address someone has today could be assigned to someone else in a couple of days time. That means the cheater would be on a new, non-banned IP address and someone innocent could be banned due to being on a banned IP address. They’ll never implement bans based on IP address alone.

Seriously? Come on now  :man_facepalming:t2:

Discussing how to use exploits to evade banwaves probably constitutes a violation of the forum code of conduct. Probs best not to talk about it.

tell that to the last 20 people linking streamers clips etc

I think it has been pointed out to them. They’ve possibly been flagged, too.

You sir have put to much trust into blizzard Mods typing accounts out and forwarding it to dev/anti cheat department.

BTW are you cheating , very SUS PRIV PROFILE

the devs and hacks departments have nothing to do with the forums. the mods will just delete your posts/ban you if they see fit.

(Also, accusing someone of cheating is also against forum code of conduct) :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

a question is not accusing and pointing out a profile is private

i understand you are trying to walk me into a forum ban.

-2/10 not even mad try again

Oof. I’m not; I just thought I’d offer some friendly advice. Don’t be paranoid… we’re not all out to get you

His forum profile is private, but his D3 profile is not. All D3 profiles are public.

Hiding your forum profile only hides your forum activity. There’s many reasons someone might do this, and most of them aren’t cause for suspicion.

It still shows his battletag, which you can use to get his d3 profile by directly modifying the URL.

My profile is here: https://us.diablo3.com/en-us/profile/TinneOnnMuin-1187/career

If you click on his profile and view activity, the URL will display his battletag. You can then take that and modify the profile URL to access his, e.g. take the TinneOnnMuin-1187 part out of my profile URL and replace it with his.

It’s publicly available if you know how to access it, it’s just that making your forum activity private also hides the direct link to your D3 profile.

The clear implication is that you’re accusing him of hiding his profile due to cheating.

Thanks for having my back, TinneOnnMuin, MB.

I made my profile private for no reason at all, really. I was curious how it worked, is all.
