Fury issue with MotE Seismic Slam

Hi,

I am a main Cruz, and I am currently trying all the Barb builds in NS.

I have an issue with MotE Seismic Slam: I run out of Fury quite easily, especially on the Boss.

I am using Maxroll build, with this variation: “Feel free to to drop Captain Crimson’s Trimmings to take Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac for cooldown resets and add a Pride of Cassius together with Ignore Pain instead of Threatening Shout Falter for more toughness.”

They do not mention which skill to use on Ignore Pain, but I assume it is Iron Hide, right? (I can’t check in the leaderboard as it is filled with Leapquake clears)

I have watched this video by Rage, and it doesn’t seem that he runs out of Fury at all: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHsYHqhiFqg

The same goes here with Wudi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jW9YiOAOls

Any idea of what I might be doing wrong?

I believe I have close to perfect gear…

Could someone please check out my build? (I currently rank #67 in MotE EU leaderbord in NS.)

Well, you are obviously not playing on this account. 67th on EU is now “standard” set-up.

I assume you have wrong passive and/or are not using Fury generators enough.

My biggest bet is you have wrong rune on Call of the Ancients, has to be Fury generating one: “Ancient’s Fury”

EDIT: Fu me… I forgot it was about non-season

This one?

Thank you both for your help!

Yes, that’s the one!

By “standard”, do you mean the version with CCT? Strange, because I only play with this account, I just checked the UE MotE leaderboard in NS, and I am still ranked #67, and I wasn’t using CCT on this clear: https://imgur.com/a/JG3Ejeh

That’s the one I have.

I have Ruthless, Rampage, No Escape and Boon of Bul-Kathos.

I try to keep Battle Rage, Call of the Ancients and also IP and WotB up. I also try to jump around to generate some Fury, but it doesn’t seem to do much…

Fu me, I was looking at seasonal barbs… Thx, Perusoe

Is there any chance you are playing to low GR’s, so your Ancients don’t have targets to attack and generate Fury that way?

Build looks OK-ish to me.

Thanks for the confirmation!

I don’t think so, as I did my GR126 clear in 13’08. What’s for sure though, is that I didn’t make huge packs like Rage did in his clear.
Perhaps me lacking Fury while fighting the Boss was due to it not spamming minions (I can’t remember which Boss it was).

I’ll do more tests - after all, I have just been playing this build a couple hours, so there is a big chance I am doing something wrong -, and I’ll come back to you if I find out what my mistake was.

OK, mystery solved :smile::smile:

It proves that what maxroll shows is a version of the build for much lower parangons.

At 5K, one should drop BoM in favour of OrotZ.

An other important point is to drop Ruthless in favour of Relentless.

I also swaped War Cry in favour of IP.

The whys are explained by Rage in his introduction to the build, that can be read here: [Guide] 2.6.7 MOTE6-Fjord-Echoing Fury-Slam +138

Rage also advices to use Death from Above rune on Leap, instead of Call of Arreat, as they suggest on maxroll. (I also made this change)

This allowed me to go from a laborious GR126 (with my previous setup) to an easy GR135 (first key without a pylon on the Boss).

Now the build feels great, and most definitely is one of my favorite ones in the entire game :smile:
