Starpact Wiz just cleared a GR 148, and they nerf the Barb because someone on the PTR with a Paragon of 10548 hit GR 140??? Can someone from Blizzard PLEASE explain this logic

Same here.

Out of curiosity, would it be better if they updated Skull Grasp to buff both WW and Rend damage by the same % and leave Lamentation alone?

Unfortunately not. With this new build, rend does most of our damage. To make WW worthwhile, there would have to be a very large multiplier. It would also promote the build to fish again as WW only worked in very density dependent areas.

Having rend do the damage isn’t the MOST stylish way, but it ended up working well. Reduced our need to fish with the build, and it reduced a lot of server lag caused by the build. I really have no idea why they touched it…

Yes, for me I went back and liked everybody who supports this thread to push the
‘Like’ ratio as high as one person can!

Did you know you only have just so many likes a day? I just found out the hard way! HA!

Yup, on top of multiple other restrictions placed on us

Barb community is the most amazing of this game. I’m glad of being a part of this, since 2012, it’s been a hell of a ride

If Darklight for crusaders got buffed to 800-1000% inceased Fist of of the Heavens damage I see no reason why not to buff Skull Grasp to 700-800% increased Whirlwind damage and bring back lamentation buff to at least 150% increased Rend damage.

Sader got insanely buff, yet no request for sader nerfs. It’s just barb that people love to hate on.

Even if we could get an increase on Skull Grasp, it potentially only has to be enough to beat the reason for needing COE.

I would personally rather Skull Grasp over COE, just because a barb specific ring feels a lot better for the build than a general COE.

Can Neva share some light on this topic, like what their plans exactly are, if they will/ will not do this, etc. Again because of bad communication we end up disappointed and it’s not ok. Feedback was there for a reason and the reason is not ignoring everything.

If they nerf it, why bother putting it there in the first place? So they can nerf if afterwards, this is hilarious…

They’re not going to say anything until they get settled in from Blizzcon. Their mistake was putting this change on the demo floor without any warning. It is stupid.

Maybe since the patch is not final, those are the original legacy items?

This can be possible too until we see the real patch notes.

I expect they may keep it unchanged (also considering the latest clears by wizards and necros). Actually unpopular opinion, I think Rend needs more buff with lamentation. Not 200% but maybe 300%. That would be the sweet spot.

I wish I had PTR Apis. I tried to get them but no such thing is shared. Only developers can access that one.

The possibility exists but the mistake and outcome are the same. Don’t demo things that have changed without explanation. Especially since most of the PTR changes are clearly in the demo.

I’m going to work now so you people keep knocking over the anvil and throwing water on the forges until we get some answers. It shall not stand.

Agree, with this 100% a complete nerf to 0 makes no sense why put something like this in that will finally level the playing field get our hopes up then yank it out all together. I can see a small nerf but taking it out completely doesn’t make any sense.

Developers, please reconsider any huge nerfs on this.
