Macros violate it in the same way Bots and Pickit does. We can’t all live in a naive state where we don’t account for what will, inevitably, happen.
It’s the one reason I’m okay with personal loot, and that’s if pickit becomes the norm again, and Blizzard is unable to stop it. Macros will happen, but even without macros public duels will get far worse for many matchups.
I understand charm inventory is popular. I understand not having charm inventory annoys people. ( I would argue that’s the point, and the cost)
People need to understand that it is a balance change though, not just QoL with no downside. There are absolutely downsides.
As much has been stated in every TOS made by every game company, and every single one of them have failed in keeping simple macros out of their game. All of them.
They didn’t, actually, they were talking about making the inventory bigger specifically, which is not the same thing as adding a section only for charms.
You are free to keep interpreting what they said how you want, though. But they never said anything about charm inventories in specific, and the survey clearly asked players about including it.
Charm inventory is part of the inventory. Even that guy/girl SwiftKitten has said that. “It’s not a charm inventory, it’s adding a non-charm inventory!”
But then why would they specifically ask about it in their own surveys? That alone makes it obvious that regardless of what you or others may THINK, they, meaning Blizzard/VV, don’t see it that way.
They put infinite bolts and arrows in one of their surveys. Then they said it changes the game too much. How do you explain that? They are almost two-faced for PR reasons, but ultimately a charm inventory will not be added. Their most recent interview was very clear about that.
what i have said many times. but som people dont belive it. they only belive that, cause the survey said x and x… blizzard is 100% for it. add will and x and x
We already been over all what you guys mentioned, they are already pre buffing in pvp, macro is not allowed(It’s like saying change the game because we have bots) we understand you hate these systems and how they are used like charms and the like, but people are already using them that way, which is way it’s a quality of life change and no amount of thread flooding will change that
Why be condescending and hateful toward your fellows for opinions when they share the same passion you do? Most of us have played D2 20 years ago, off and on for years, thousands of hours.
You should reread their quote. Blizzard said no such thing to my knowledge explicitly about a charm inventory. Please provide a link and direct quote to show otherwise.
Correct as you pointed out. That was one of the multitude of reasons that I advocate for optional personal loot.
Are you now saying because pickits and bots will exist that we should have personal loot as a means to combat cheaters like I suggested with a myriad of other reasons?
i asked you the same and you just trying to turn it around to fit your ways.
you say it like. we should fix somthing because of hacks/bots and so on…
and then you give the argument that we should not.
if its somthing you like fix its broke.
if you dont like, dont fix its not broke.
Your argument is that Blizzard should not consider a charm inventory that they themselves describe as a QoL feature because of cheaters. I have stated that is insufficient reason because macros are against the ToS/EULA. I have suggested that a personal loot option solves many issues with public multiplayer co-op (improved role playing, eliminates ninja looting and diminishes the impact of player misbehavior). These are far more nuanced perspective.
I explain it this way: Blizzard actually never asked about it on their surveys. That was from the Reddit survey. However, Blizzard did ask twice between two surveys about charm inventory.
Blizzard Surveys asked: Skill/Item balance, Personal Loot, Remap Keys, Key Hotbar, buff timers, ingame clock, tooltips for stat ranges, charm inventory, seasonal buffs for underused skills/runewords, auto display loot, stackable runes/gems, recipes for cube/runewords, and stuff that was already in game/added with D2R like respecs, controller, auto gold.
The quote that is shown below suggests to me you are against Blizzard introducing a charm inventory.
Since I do not want to misunderstand what I think was clear:
Do you support Blizzard adding a charm inventory? If so, how would you like it implemented?
You are correct. It was the reddit survey that asked about infinite arrows/bolts. It was not Blizzard’s survey that invalidates the argument presented.
