We have reached the point where removing the need to press buttons is considered to be a “QoL improvement”. Can blizz also make strafe autocast while I’m in a rift so I don’t have to press a button? I can then cosplay as a beyblade.
Season ends tonight. Looking forward to all the UE/shadow build fans having to aim, and seperately move and dodge again. Welcome back to actually playing a ranged build in an action RPG. Maybe I can play these builds again in a challenging setting without falling asleep at my keyboard. The rest of you folks can go back to playing GOD and dealing with the horror of pressing one extra button every 3-4 seconds. I can only imagine the mental anguish if you guys tried playing literally any WD build.

You can cosplay as over exaggerating lead paint victim. Changing the duration fall off from 1 to 5 seconds is QoL, and doesn’t make anything automated or less interactive. You keep bringing up WD in every post. We understand you’re unhappy but blowing a simple request out of proportion to justify your anger is childish.

Good interactivity: Using skills to move or kite enemies, apply debuffs, or ways to single out specific targets in a group, etc.
Bad interactivity: Press button to keep up buff for 4-8s or else you die or do less/no damage.
The vast majority of D3 is the latter (but we still love the game anyway). So is the current GoD mechanic. Yes, it would be a QoL improvement.

Diablo 3 is full of those examples of game flow among all classes. If you forget to refresh one of your defensive buffs in high tier Greater Rifts, the chances are that you’ll get crossfired between many monsters and die in a blink. Punishment is one way to get interaction from the player, be it incentive or at the peril.
As difficulty increases, the inputs requirement will grow eventually and game becomes more intricate, that’s the farthest an isometric ARPG can offer you as gameplay. If you don’t want to mind about more complex inputs, just lower the difficulty.
The buff at S28, worths about 8 Momentum stacks at a constant rate. So the chances are, once you have high damage output, you won’t have to keep your Momentum stacks beyond a few while farming. T16 will be breeze for you, yet you want more power with less inputs. That’s against the balance and build diversity as everyone will want to play the less effort build with higher efficiency.
To give you an idea about the buff, here’s a thematic video from Raxxan; he declares GoD as the effortless build. He even share tips about button placement for action slots too.
