Fix Gears of Dreadlands

Now that every streamer got their 5th or 6th wish from make a wish foundation. I feel like they had an obligation to fulfill after the first wish. Can you fix GoD DH for the rest of us?

Fix momentum stacks to automatically refresh when a target is hit with auto cast generators, OR make a momentum stack fall off every 5-10 seconds.

Casting every second is almost as obnoxious as a person winning a congressional seat, while looking like a crackhead Barbie that fell out of the ugly tree, smacked every branch on the way down, then ran blind folded through an all-iron ninja warrior course.

No thanks. God DH is brain dead enough. Blizz already made the game too easy as it is… and people are complaining about pressing TWO buttons ?

The problem with D3 is blizz has caved to casual players every single season and now the powerspike is out of control. The game is easy mode and you can finish season in a couple days.

Try to beat PoE in 2 days and its not going to happen. Thankfully, PoE did the opposite and actually nerfed drop rates and kept their game difficult instead of bending over to casuals which did wonders to keep up the longevity of their game. And the results speak for themselves. PoE has like 100x more players than D3 will every have.

Diablo has NEVER been hard through any season. Literally the only time this game was difficult was the wall people hit when moving into Inferno difficulty right after release. Every single D2 Build was “2 buttons”.

POE isn’t hard, it just has more content, hence the time required. POE pet builds have always been braindead, but still enjoyable, not to mention some clear faster than any other build while having 1 active button. POE is also ptw since you buy everything you want with cash.

So sad that 1 cruel but honest description is all you need to recognize… it.

Absolute “no” to autorefresh stacks with autofired primaries. That just makes the build way too braindead.

However 5 second delay before stacks start to fall off would be a good change. You have to manually fire primaries anyway to keep F&R buffs up and that requires manual firing of a primary every 5 seconds.

They could just make an amulet that extends momentum stacks, not unlike how they made the Haunted Visions amulet. Not saying they should be permanent, but they could last for +6 seconds or whatever, so the button mashing is not quite as frequent.

Most DH builds use F+R and/or Wraps of Clarity which both require you to cast a primary skill once every 5 secs.

GoD set requires that you cast the primary once every 4 secs.

Is it really that much harder to click 25% more?

There is nothing to “fix” in this set. Sorry that you have to press another button every 1-2 seconds. D3 should never be designed for players who don’t want to press buttons.

Stop using that word “casual” in the wrong context. This word should be used to describe a player who is limited in time, not one who wants to turn off their brain in the limited amount of play time available. I might play an hour or two a day and I will fall asleep if I play a strafe build or something equally mundane.

I’ll use the word I used to describe similar players in discussions on the WoW board about raiding gear and equivalent gear rewards. Use the word “badual” instead of “casual”.

GoD DH is so easy a RuneScape bot from 2000 could play it. The only thing keeping me awake is pressing that button.

I never ever have a problem with the stacks. Just use the space bar for your momentum. If your momentum starts to go down rest your thumb on the space bar it rebuilds it.

On all my accounts the GoD build is the same. Plus I have only 10% cooldown too. One other thing you can use is Night Stalker in the passive skills.

Like I said on another thread where is the auto button so all have to do sit an watch.

Alternatively have a leg amulet that increases momentum stacks by an extra 1 whenever you gain them, though I realize right now that the momentum stacks are squarely from the GoD set buff and not a DH skill’s buff.

Seeing that most players min-max GoD builds for dps when pushing, alternatively have a separate buff granted by the amulet that gives damage reduction for a duration after casting Strafe would help too.

Currently there aren’t much Strafe legendary modifiers that aren’t squarely from main-hand/off-hand weapons.

GoD Hungering Arrow and UE6 Hungering Arrow will be extremely close in power now.

You may want to consider switching if you dislike GoD6. My personal opinion, Hungering Arrow plays best on UE6.

I don’t get the complaint about GoD in general. I can only guess that people are trying to Strafe and cast the generator with the same hand? Strafe with your left hand and shoot with your right and you’ll feel as chill as a platypus.

The only fix GoD needs (needed) is to up the pierce cap from 5 to 10 on the quiver. As long as the build is forcibly stunted, it will never be a good pushing build. As for speeds, it’s already super fast and simple, so nothing to fix there.

Fetterman came to mind but I guess I don’t really know what a crackhead barbie looks like.

Their other hand is occupied with netflix, a sandwich, or possibly some pleasurable activity.

Momentum stacks fall off every second. If you’re waiting 4 seconds you lose a good amount of damage. 5 minute speeds to higher pushing you’ll still want to manually cast every second. If you happen to play for 8+ hours that day all those extra clicks are not fun.

As for all the “brain dead” comments. Most builds in the game you can numb lock the skills and run around using 1-2 buttons. PoJ Monk you can hold right click and not do anything else while everything is numb locked.

Witch Doctor is absolutely a piano class and needs love for all the work needed to just to come out sub par.

If you think GoD doesn’t require a brain to use, but think UE does you are mistaken. UE is literally hold your generator/spender whichever is your main damage for that build, then every 5 seconds click the opposite to proc foc/res, and occasionally vault. If you go without a generator and SoJ you hold right click and vault around map. GoD requires more inputs and positioning trying to circle around occ rings.

They are both lazy builds, I’m just asking along with several other people apparently that we remove the more tedious part of generator spam.
